Diamond's POV
I walked upstairs and it smelled like alcohol. I mean, I guess it made sense but it just was weird to me. I don't know how I'm gonna get used to living like this.
I unlocked the door and there was a twin bed in the corner of the room with another door to my left and a door next to the bed. I went over to the door on the left first. It was a bathroom. It was stained and gross. I knew I'd have to clean this place up but this was real bad.
I went over to the other door next. It was a small closet that went into the wall. Spiders crawled out of the bottom and I'm not gonna lie, I jumped a bit.
I went over to the bed and stood up on it. Dust flew off of it. I coughed.
Alright... this is gonna be a lot harder than I imagined.
I found a piece of paper and a pencil on top of the dresser. I wrote down everything I needed.
Paint for dresser
Blinds for bedroom windowsBlinds for bathroom windows
Cleaning stuff for the bathroomBroom and dust pan
New clothes, shoes
Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrushShampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap
New pillowcasesNew sheets and comforter
Candles... tons of candles...I figured if I saw something at the store I'd get it. But I was on a budget. The walls were really dirty but I think it was more of a neutral grey-ish color.
I went to the store and bought the essential stuff I needed before the cleaning stuff. I got a few tops from the really cheap section, shower stuff, and just hygiene stuff.
In total, it cost $17.02. The hygiene stuff wasn't too bad but I needed a lot of clothes and shoes. It was pretty cheap for what I got.
Then I went to one more store and got a white paint for the dresser and to clean up the
Then I went to another store for the bed sheets, blinds, and comforter. I also got a bunch of cleaning stuff from that store too. It cost another 20 bucks or something around that. It was the cheapest stuff I could find.
I went back home and I put everything on the floor. I took off the old sheets and put on the new ones I just bought. It was a very light grey and it hopefully matched the walls.
I first used the broom and swept everything off the floor. I put it all in the corner and put it in the dust pan. I got a trash bag from downstairs and I put the old curtains, bed sheets, and every other thing I didn't need in it.
I wiped down the closet and I put the clothes and shoes I bought in it. I went into the bathroom next. I scrubbed the sing, the shower, and the bathtub. It wasn't the best bathroom of all time, but it worked. I put two candles in each of the two rooms and then I started cleaning the walls of the room.
Never in my life did I think I'd have to do that.
I started painting the dresser to match the bed sheets and I moved it around a bit. I did a second coat on it and I went back to the bathroom to continue cleaning in there.
But after hours and hours of working on it, I got it. I really fixed up the entire apartment.
Don't get me wrong, I still had a long way to go, but I changed into my pajamas, blew out the candles, and went to bed.
3rd Person POV
Warren, Diamond's dad, slammed the remote against the floor. "THAT BITCH!" He yelled. "I should have gotten rid of her when I killed her mother!" He yelled again. "She's gonna regret that."
Warren Holtz, who's real name is John Ross, killed Jamie Holtz, who's real name is Jewel Ross, and made it look like an accident. Faking his own death, he told Ryder Hall to tell Diamond he died but in the end, but he knows what he's doing.
"Where is Alex Holtz?" One of the policemen asked the boys.
"WE DON'T KNOW!" Isaiah yelled.
"She was with us when we went down to the dock. She said she'd help if something went wrong." Lucas continued.
"Wait, she?" One of the officers asked.
The guys looked at each other. "Yeah." They said collectively.
"You guys better stop messing with us. Where is this guy?"
"We don't know where SHE is." Caeb said.
The two officers looked at each other as the boys were hand cuffed to their seats. "What does this girl look like?" One asked.
"She has long dark brown hair with brown eyes. She wore a lot of makeup. It made her look more intimidating. With heels on, she was probably 5'6 but she was only probably 5'4. She wore tight outfits and was tanned all the time." Will said.
"Any details about where she is?" The other officer asked.
They all shook their heads. "The reason there is only ten of us is because she killed off everyone else. Anyone who messed up or did something to her she killed. She called for her body guard and he took them outside and we never heard from them again." Henry said.
The two officers looked at each other. "Alright. That's enough for tonight. You guys'll be back in here soon and if we find out you didn't tell the truth-"
Ben cut him off. "We told the truth. Can we go now?"
The first officer rolled his eyes. "Get em out of here." He said to the person behind the guys.
John, more commonly known by Warren, got up and went over to his phone. It rang for a few seconds and the guy picked up. "Hello?" The person on the other end asked.
John cleared his throat. "Can I talk to Ryder Hall?"
"Speaking. Who is this?" He asked rudely.
"It's Warren Holtz. I need you to do me a favor."
