Dallas' POV
I THOUGHT SHE JUST DIED! FUCK!
I thought she misread the signal and thought maybe I put my thumb down.
Jesus Christ... I don't wanna be on her bad side.
Although, I guess if she read it wrong, she'd be dead and I wouldn't be on her bad or good side.
I don't know. But I definitely don't want to end up on her bad side now. Or else, I'll end up like Dave...
Diamond's POV
We all finished eating the food and everyone was pretty skeptical of James walking around. I didn't care though.
The day went on and everyone went to bed. I was downstairs in the kitchen and I heard someone come up behind me.
"What was that all about earlier?" Jeremy asked.
"It's how people are gonna respect me." I said getting a glass of water.
"Respect? They're how we get what we want! You can't just kill them."
"Kill them?" I asked. He nodded. "I-" I stopped. I don't want him telling everyone that there was no need to be scared of James and he wasn't killing anyone but I didn't wanna lie either. "James..." I mumbled.
"What?" Jeremy asked. James came up behind him and grabbed him. It scared him. "ALEX! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" He yelled.
I ignored him. James pulled him outside and his screams got quieter. Everyone was awake from his yelling.
"Alex? What the hell?" Don asked.
"You all better get some sleep. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow." I said with a smirk.
*The Next Day*
"Alright everyone. We're gonna start off with warmups." I gave them a list of what they had to do and they all groaned.
"What is this bullshit?" Gary asked.
"It's warmups. Do it or get out." I said. He rolled his eyes.
They did what I told them to do and I finally had control. I had the world at my feet. I can get these guys to do anything I wanted.
But all I really wanted was to get out of here.
*One Year Later*
We are down 20 men. I'm 16 and I have 19 guys still doing exactly what I tell them to do. "WHO DID IT!?" I yelled walking down the middle of the guys.
They were all doing pushups and I was angry. "Until one of you guys fess up, we aren't leaving." I said.
I paced in between the two lines waiting for someone to admit it.
What did they do exactly? Well...
I was walking downtown New York and I was waiting to cross the road. I needed to get back home because I had a training session today with the guys.
I overheard these two ladies next to me. Probably late 20's or early 30's. "Did you hear what happened last night?" One asked.
"I was so scared. It happened really close to my house." The other one responded.
"Yeah. It was just off of Kings Road." The first one said.
"Wait, what happened?" I asked barging in.
"Sorry. I live off of Kings Road." I lied. "I'm just wondering."
The brunette handed me a newspaper. "The New York City Mafia killed an entire family."
I stared in shock at the newspaper. "They did?" I asked.
"Mhmm. Stay safe. You look so young. It's been a year and some odd weeks since they last killed someone. I'm worried they're gonna start up again." The blonde said.
"Oh gosh. I hope they find these people. Maybe they'll stop soon." I said.
"The boss must be an absolutely horrible person." The brunette says.
"Who knows. This might not be the boss' work."
"You don't go behind the boss." The brunette said with a wink. I laughed playing along.
We crossed the street and I spoke up. "I mean, maybe it wasn't the mafia. It's been a whole year and a month or two since they've done anything. I haven't heard anything since then."
"Maybe. But I don't think so." The blonde says.
"I hope they get caught." I said.
"Stay safe." The brunette said to me as we went opposite directions.
IDIOTS!
*Present*
Danny stood up. "I didn't do it, but I don't know if you know this, but we are a group of people who are SUPPOSED to kill people. That's why we're here."
"Get back down." I said angrily.
He rolled his eyes and went back to pushups. "It wouldn't be a big deal if you weren't caught. Now it gets bad. You aren't ready. You're a bunch of idiots." I continued.
"Alex. We've been at this for an hour. We're tired." Harry said with a voice crack.
"Until one of you guys fess up, we aren't leaving." I said.
"Ok fine!" Ron yelled. "It was me, Noah, and Ben."
"What the fuck!" Noah yelled.
I looked over at James. I knew it wasn't a one person job. James got two more people and they dragged them away. It left us with only 16 guys.
"You're just getting rid of everyone!" Dallas yelled.
"I have something big planned for the end of next year." I said checking my manicure.
"The end of next year?!" Everyone yelled.
"Yes. You can't handle a simple murder, you can't handle anything." I said.
"I'm not waiting till 1965, almost 1966, to do anything." Grant said wiping the sweat off his face. I'll be 18 in 1965 which is when I can legally live on my own.
Here's my plan... there's already been word of a huge shipment at the ports of New York. I'm gonna send the rest of the guys who are left down to the dock to take it but I'll be in a disguise. I'll call the police on them. They don't know my real name and they won't be able to point me out in the crowd.
Then I'm jumping a train to...well... wherever I can go. I don't care as long as it's away from here.
"That's 16 months!" Dallas yelled.
"Yeah. So?"
"You really think we're just gonna wait around for you to say we're ready?" He continued.
I raised an eyebrow. "If you have a problem with it, leave." I said shrugging.
"I will. And I don't need James to come and kill me. I'll show myself out."
"Fine with me." I said angrily.
Fuck you, Dallas.
