Rachel’s P.O.V.
Early the next morning I was met with an elegant cream coloured, floor length, flowy corseted dress at the foot of the bed. Fingering the soft, silky material between my fingers, the bathroom door clicked open, revealing Tate dressed in a pair of black sweats and grey socks.
“Harper brought that by a while ago, said Serena requested that you wear it” he explained motioning towards the dress as he ran a hand through his still wet hair, causing it to stick up in all directions.
“Ugh, can’t I just stay in bed all day?” I asked with a huff as I fell back onto the bed, staring up at the dark wood ceiling.
“Says the woman who won’t let me sleep in peace” he said chuckling, flashing back to when I’d pulled him out of bed, literally then he added “You really are mean, you know that?” under his breath, causing me to breathe a laugh, blowing the hair out of my face in the process.
“So I’ve been told” I shot back grinning a little at the memory of how Travis would say the exact same thing every time I did something evil to him.
“But seriously Rachel, up” he ordered shooting me a glance in the mirror as I rolled onto my side, groaning and curled up into a ball, hiding underneath the sheets “Rachel” his warning tone did little to affect me and I simply peeked out over the edge of the crimson sheets, peering at him from across the room.
“No” I stated and went back to my hiding place, snuggling into the warmth of the king size mattress “Princess, I’m warning you-.” I cut him off before he could finish with a simple “No” hearing footsteps approach the foot of the bed. I waited for something to happen but nothing did as I once again peered out at Tate with big blue puppy dog eyes.
“Last chance” he noted muscular arms crossing over his well build and bare chest as his eyes locked onto mine with a stern look to them.
“No” I repeated pulling the sheets back over my head when a heavy sigh filled the room, coming from Tate “I warned you” and with that a pair of warm hands grabbed onto both my ankles and began dragging me down to the foot of the bed.
“Tate, no! Don’t you dare, Tate!” I exclaimed hands reaching out to grab hold of the head board, clinging on to it for dear life while frantically kicking my legs to try and get him to let go.
“Sorry princess, but you asked for it” he said, a sly smirk plastered across his face as his eyes glistened mischievously up at me. My grip on the head board was starting to loosen as I shot him a deathly glare.
“Tate, I swear if you don’t stop, I’m going to kick you in the ba-.” I couldn’t finish my sentence as my hands slipped and Tate managed to pull me off the bed and onto the cold, hard ground. I groaned.
“Bastard” I cursed pushing myself up into a sitting position as I narrowed my eyes up at Tate.
“Hey don’t look at me, you wouldn’t get up” he said flashing me a brilliant yet innocent smile, turning to grab his trainers from beside the dresser. I rolled my eyes and stood up, stretching out my aching muscles.
“What time did you get in last night?” I asked when Tate plopped down on the bed beside my dress to pull his already warn trainers back on.
“I didn’t, got here about an hour ago ,now Alec needs me to start training the more younger fighters” he muttered shrugging his shoulders as if it was no big deal. I dropped my hand to my side with a loud slapping sound.
“So you didn’t get any sleep at all last night?” I asked and Tate nodded with a “Pretty much” as Holden started crying in his crib, wanting his morning bottle. Shooting Tate a look, I strode over to Holden’s bag.
