Ryuhee
I was covered in sweat as I finished working out. The gym was another place for me to cool my mind down. I breathed heavily, inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide.
My phone buzzed while I was gulping down some water. I smiled seeing Jimin's name on my phone screen. "Hey," I sang. He was not the type to call during his work.
"Babe, I need a favour," he said, his voice sounded vulnerable. "What is it?" I asked getting a bit taken aback. "I need you to go to a party tonight," he said through the phone. "Jimin, I don't feel like—" I was actually stomping my foot.
"Please Ryu. Just this once."
"Okay," I sighed. "Thanks love," he said and hung up. I felt dizzy just by hearing the word 'party'. I went to my closet and looked through the dresses. I picked one without much thought. It was a black dress.
It was asymmetrical. It had spaghetti straps bare and flatter arms.
I did not feel the need to wear any necklace. I just wore a pair of small earrings and a plain bracelet. I wore my heels and headed out for the party.
The party was full of unknown and showy people, just the kind I did not like, as my father. I avoided conversations with them as much as I could.
"Ms. Kang, I heard you are Park Jimin's girlfriend," a tall guy in a black suit came and said to me. "Yes. But I don't know you," he seemed decent enough.
"That's totally okay. I am Jimin's childhood friend. Jeon Jungkook," he introduced himself. "Hi Mr. Jeon," I was not good at talking.
"Can I fancy myself dancing with you? I want to treat a pretty lady properly at least when her boyfriend is not around," he smiled a little.
"Of course. Thanks for rescuing me from these people" I furrowed my eyebrows and he laughed.
"I apologize on their behalf" he took my hand and went to the dance floor.
"No. You just rescued me, remember?" He laughed again before nodding.
Jungkook held my waist as I rested my hand below his shoulder line. We swayed to the music. We did not talk much. Suddenly I did not miss Jimin anymore.
Whenever Jimin and I came to any party together, he was always busy with his business partners. We could never enjoy our time together. Dance was like a dream to me.
Though I never thought much about this, it was nice doing it.
All of a sudden, the lights went out. I could not feel Jungkook's presence around me. I turned to search for him. But I could not find him. The music changed.
Then I could feel someone holding me by my waist again but this time it was in even more elegant way. The lights turned on.
The face which was in front of me before it blacked out, changed.
"You?" I was surprised to see him.
"Well, here I am. What are your other two wishes?" Taehyung smirked.
I rolled my eyes.
"I know that I misjudged you a lot. But at least I never thought that you would google pickup lines" I commented on his cringe worthy try.
"I never did that" he said in a low voice as if he was really surprised to hear that.
"This line is written all over Google" I let him know. By that time, I had totally forgotten about Jungkook.
"I don't care. Why would you say 'You' after seeing me, if you had not wish for me to come after the lights turned off?" He casually spoke.
"Speaking of it, why did the lights turn off?" I asked being genuinely curious.
"When did you come here, to dance I mean?" He asked.
"Three minutes ago, approximately" I tilted my head.
"That's why, you must have not known. This venue has a system. Every time a song ends, the lights get switched off, the song changes, the partners get changed and then another song restarts, the lights get switched on again" Taehyung explained.
"How is that okay?" It seemed peculiar to me.
"It's fine with me, at least until the next song gets played" he said.
I narrowed my eyes.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
He did not say anything.
I finally took a good look at him. He wore a grey coloured suit with white shirt letting go of his classic bad CEO look.
His hair was pushed back again. It seemed as if he was trying to look mature on purpose.
I looked at his eyes. His eyes travelled around my figure like the last time.
"Chin up" I did not say much.
"It's not fair, miss. It's okay for you to check me out but it's not okay when I do it. You are not doing justice at all" a smirk was plastered on his lips.
I was flustered. When did he notice me checking him out?
In my defense, I was only looking at his outfit.
"I was just seeing your outfit" I tried to defend myself.
"I was looking at your outfit too" he said smugly.
"Oh yeah?"
"This dress is complimenting your bare skin-" he paused seeing me scowling at him. He gulped before speaking, "Tone" he finished.
I shuddered thinking about what kind of pervert I was with.
"I am feeling weak. I want to go and sit" I whined.
Taehyung held me even closer to his body.
"What are you doing?" I squinted my eyes.
"Trying to make a move on you" he said as if it was a really obvious thing.
I sighed, "I don't feel so well."
He let me go at that moment. Then he held my arm and was taking me to make me sit somewhere.
I held his wrist and brought it to my eye level.
"You are wearing Rolex today" I said. How I remembered little things about him was actually odd to me also.
"So?" He raised one eyebrow.
