Taehyung
It had been raining the whole day. "Screw it!" I was irritated. "What is it?" Hoseok raised his eyebrows. I stirred my tea with a spoon.
"I don't fucking feel like doing anything," my head fell back on the chair. "You are really weird these days," he remarked. I turned my head to him to try to understand what he meant.
"No. You were weird always," he said, contradicting his own words. "Ugh!" I threw my head back again. He lifted his glasses, pretending to inspect me.
"But these days, it's getting out of control," he focused on his phone again. "What do you mean?" I questioned, keeping my eyes on him. "Kang Ryuhee," he got to his point. I snickered.
"What about her?" I kept my hands on the table. My full attention was on him.
"You like her," he said but I waited for him to finish, "I would say that if I did not know you. But I do. I know that you are not going to fall for someone just because she has a pretty face."
I looked down. That was bothering him. "So what is the deal between you two?" He asked again. "Umm," I thought for a while. "I will leave that on your deductions" I took my jacket from the hanger and left the office. I had no mood to work.
I took long strides to my car. It was parked outside. So rain did not fail to make me damp. I hated it. I utterly hated it.
I went to home and took a warm shower and ordered something for lunch. I did not feel like cooking too.
"So what is the deal between you two?"
Hoseok's words repeated in my mind as I lied down.
I kept staring at the ceiling.
What is it between me and Ryuhee?
There was certainly nothing between us. Since she already had a boyfriend. Also she clearly have nothing special for me.
But what about myself? Why was I constantly getting drawn to her?
She seemed like me. I saw a reflection of myself in her.
But was that it? That couldn't be. There had got to be something else.
I needed to find out.
I drifted off to sleep while thinking about her. But the sweet moments did not last long since my phone buzzed to ruin my sleep.
"Who is it?" My voice came out husky.
"You need to come to office right now" it was Hoseok's voice.
I squinted my eyes. "I'm not."
"It's an emergency. I would not lie to bring you to office" he spoke fast. That was unlikely of him.
I blinked and sighed.
"I swear that I will kill you if it's not worth it" I would, really.
"You got it. Now hang up and get dressed" he hung up first.
I just wore a jacket over my t-shirt. I was not in the mood to wear formal suit then.
I got into the car and reached at office without any kind of accidental delay. It was not supposed to be like this.
It was raining heavily at that time. Hoseok had some guts to call me to come at a time like that.
I took a deep sigh and entered into the office building.
I walked through the corridor. I did not know where Hoseok wanted me to come. So I just went to my cabin.
It was dark, obviously since I was out. That meant it was not where Hoseok was.
But for some reason, I strongly felt that I needed to be here.
My eyes landed on a silhouette. There was someone else who perhaps did not know where the switchboard was.
The silhouette was hugging itself.
I spoke through my instinct,
"Kang Ryuhee?"
Suddenly thunder clapped and it lightened to confirm my guess. It was Ryuhee indeed.
It surprised her and she went and sat inside the cupboard.
I tried to open the door of it. But she was holding a stand of it from inside making it hard for me to open it. It might even hurt her if I put too much strength.
"Don't" her voice quivered.
"You hate it when someone sees you like this. Because you want to be that strong girl" I said what I realized.
"Shut up" she said slowly.
"Ryuhee, it's okay" I spoke, "I am here."
I tried and opened the door. She was sitting there quietly.
"You can rely on me" I extended my hand.
She still did not budge.
"Do you allow me?"
A cloud rumbled again and she jumped in my arms.
I stroked her hair.
I understood why I was getting drawn to her.
I could be much more 'me' around her.
I could be myself and not worry about someone else invading my personal space. As she was more afraid that someone would see through her.
She tried to hide herself so much that she would not even try to see through someone else.
I loved myself when I was with her.
It gave me an euphoric feeling.
It rumbled loudly again. Ryuhee tugged onto my shirt tightly.
After a while, everything went back to normal. It was just drizzling again.
Ryuhee sat on the floor with her back to the cupboard.
I sat beside her and kept my hand on hers. She did not jerk it off surprisingly.
"Do you want to go out?" I asked.
"Just a bit more" she let her head fall on my shoulder.
She was clearly tired.
We came outside after she felt comparatively better.
I had completely forgotten why I had come to the office. It was Hoseok who called me.
I did not tell Ryuhee about that. She just walked with me to Hoseok's cabin.
I did not get the chance to even ask her what she was doing her. It was not important to do that I guessed.
The door opened revealing Hoseok with someone else.
"You are late" he looked at me through his glasses.
"It's freaking rai-" the other person turned around to face me.
"Mr. Park?"

Don't forget to vote for the chapter.
Finally!! A serious moment between Taehyung and Ryuhee. I want to let you know that I got the idea of this interaction from a scene of my favorite anime.
Now guess the anime name!
Let me know how it was.
