"Get on!" Ryuhee pursed her lips, watching the male in front of her apartment building, leaning on his car with a door opened supposedly for her to get inside.

"What actually did I do to make you feel that I want to go with you?" Jimin stepped closer to her. "Thought you didn't wanna get late," he said with a smirk plastered on his lips.

Ryuhee rolled her eyes, gazing elsewhere. "I am perfectly fine without your help." She lightly pushed him with her hand on his chest. "So you can kindly get lost now."

Jimin had known that Ryuhee would not have taken his help. That was not the reason he had come for. "Congratulations." Jimin smiled, gently, like the time they were still in a relationship. "I knew you would make it."

Ryuhee looked at him, getting the hint that he got to know about that employee who would testify against Kim Kihyung in the court today—at the second trial. That's why, he came to pick me up?

Jimin was involved in this case from the very first after it reopened. He got to know about this through Namjoon. "Also, I am sorry. I know that—" he shook his head, guiltily averting his eyes, "Just a sorry won't suffice. I messed up, big time. I won't ask anything from you."

The male looked into Ryuhee's eyes who was listening to him intently, already feeling herself tearing up. "I knew how much you hated your dad but I still used to force you to talk to him. I didn't even give you the space you had asked me for. I also accused you of something you didn't do."

Jimin looked down. "I am really sorry. I just want my apology to get accepted and nothing else." Ryuhee hummed in response, causing him to look up at her again. "I accept it. Thank you for being there when I desperately needed you."

Jimin smiled widely. He was getting overwhelmed with mixed emotions at that time. "Promise?" Ryuhee nodded, letting out a soft laugh and a teardrop to roll out of her glistened eyes. "Yes."

Jimin abruptly pressed his plump lips on her full ones, placing a quick kiss. "Stole a last one!" He teased, sticking out his tongue before disappearing into his car so that Ryuhee could not scold him.

Whereas, the female who just got kissed by his ex-boyfriend, stood dumbfoundedly like that, keeping fixated on her position. What just happened?

One thing, Ryuhee did not know was, the best thing to do was to take Jimin's help and go to the court in his car since her car was tampered by Kim Kihyung's men and it was a matter of time before her car crashed, causing both Ryuhee and Bae Seojung to get injured heavily, ending up unconscious in the hospital.

The hospital employees used Ryuhee's phone to call the last dialed number which was of Namjoon. He could not just leave the trial so he informed Jimin and decided to just waste time for today so that another trial would be held.

Jimin rushed there after informing Taehyung. "What happened to Ryuhee?" Taehyung asked him, as soon as he arrived. "Ask that to your dad," Jimin gritted his teeth.

"What rubbish?" Jimin massaged his temples, before landing a strong, hard punch on Taehyung's face, gaining a lot of concerned attention from the people around them.

"Wake up, you dimwit! Ryuhee had gotten a lead on how to win the case against your dad. She even managed to get a testifier. They were both heading to court and the car crashed. The mechanics presented there said that it was tampered."

Taehyung's eyes widened. "Go and ask your father once! Ask why he keeps playing with the lives of innocent people."

Taehyung could no longer stay there. He straight went to his father's office and waited for him to come back from the trial. His heart was pounding rapidly inside the cage of his chest.

"Why would the court hold another trial next week? Should have killed that prosecutor bastard along with that lawyer bitch."

"Wow."

Kim Kihyung turned his attention to his son, fazed as he was completely unaware of his presence. Taehyung laughed bitterly. His jaw tightened, pupils flared in the direction of his father.

"I am such an asshole."
