Prologue
"Fvck!" I cursed as I accidentally hit my foot with this luggage of mine.
I secured my luggage for a vacation. I'll be out of the country for a week. I need to rest from all this hell happening in the country. Ang hirap maging abogado! Tangina!
I tucked my white fitting shirt into my pants. I grabbed my trench coat, fold it and hung it into my lower arm.
I checked myself for last time with my whole body mirror. I guess I'm fine. I grabbed and wore my stilettos. I'm really fine.
Kinuha ko ang maleta ko at hinila papalabas ng bahay. It's hell huge, pwede akong magkasya nito. I don't want to bring another bag aside from this sling bag with important things. I'd rather pay for extra kilograms my luggage might cost.
I made sure na sarado lahat ng pintuan at bintana and turned off the electronics. Everything's secured. I can finally leave.
Hila-hila ko ang luggage ko papalabas ng aking bahay. I stood up outside of my house and pulled out my phone from my bag.
I dialed his number and he picked it up right away. Akala ko magfi-feeling artista na naman siya.
[Good morning. Are you done eating breakfast?] bungad niya sa akin.
I smiled.
"Yes, I am. How about you?"
[I'm fine, too. Are you sure about me not taking you to the airport?]
"Yes. I don't want you to be stressed out." I said.
[Wow? Then why are you leaving me with these paperworks for your cases?"
"Bakit? You'll refuse?" then I grinned.
[God. You're so good of doing that to me.]
I chuckled.
[Where are you going, again?] he asked.
"LA"
[May trial ka this week?] he asked.
"Of course none! Pupunta ba ako ng ibang bansa kung mayro'n? You're making me look stupid."
[And you're making me look like a useless boy--]
"Shut it up, I'll get going."
[As you wish. Take care.]
"Thank you. I'll buy you something overseas."
[Dapat lang.]
"Bye. Take care of yourself when I'm not around."
I ended the call.
I booked a cab a while ago and I'm tracking it. It's still an hour and a half before my flight. I walked to the gate of the subdivision where I'm living. That's where I told the driver where I'm at.
It's a good thing that my house is not far away from the gate. I won't be stressed out walking.
I have my own car but I can't use it. I don't know where to park it and I'm also not in the mood for driving. Katamad mag drive.
"Good morning, Attorney." the guard greeted me.
I smiled at him. "Good morning." I greeted back.
I stand still as I saw the cab coming. Huminto ito sa harapan ko at bumaba. The guard and the driver carried the both ends of my luggage and placed it at the compartment.
Sumakay na ako sa backseat at agad na nagmaneho ang driver. The airport is twenty minutes away from the subdivision with suggested speed pero ang traffic sa Pilipinas.
I just kept on scrolling through my social media feeds to ease the boredom inside the cab. Walang kwenta. The articles are all about personalities na wala namang ambag sa bayan. Nakakaumay tignan.

The hell is happening? Sana nag-aral nalang ang mga batang 'to upang makatulong sa bayan. Why the hell are they blinded with worthless personality?

I shook my head and placed my phone inside my bag. Minutes later and I arrived at my destination. I gave the driver a five hundred peso bill and told him to keep the change. Nothing goes wrong with kindness.
Tinulungan ako ng driver na ibaba ang bagahe ko bago nagdrive pabalik. He thanked me for more than ten times and I just kept on saying that he's welcome.
I just made it on time. The plane that I'm in is already boarding.
Nagmadali akong naglakad and dropped my luggage and bag for scanning then proceeded. Hinihingal ako habang pinapakita sa flight attendant ang ticket at passport ko.
"Welcome on board, Attorney." the flight attendant said.
I was shocked when she knew me and then I gave her a smile before getting inside.
I booked a bussines class flight and a crew guided me. Maraming tao sa plane and I'm just following the attendant who's guiding me.
Nakarating na ako sa seat ko. "Thank you." I said then the attendant smiled and bowed down.
The seat that I have is a recliner and I have a small table in front of me. There's an empty seat beside me but there's a headphone on it.
Oh, fvck!
I don't know why the hell am I facing my mini mirror, applying a red lipstick and checking every angle of me. This is not looking good.
I performed breathing exercises while checking my phone. Bakit ba kasi ako nagkakaganito?! It's just a godamn headphone.
Umayos ka, Jenim Essa!
Here he comes.
"Excuse me. Can you move a little? Dadaan lang ako."
I lift my head up to see him.
He looks way more fine than those articles I've seen. Ang tangkad na niya. His hair looks cute.
Why the hell am I complimenting him?!
He startled after he saw me that leads him to spill a little champagne into my coat.
"Fuck!" I cursed.
He immediately walked past by me and sat down. Kumuha siya ng panyo mula sa bulsa ng coat niya at pinunasan ako. I let him do it.
"I'm sorry." he apologized.
"It's okay, Mr. Villanueva." I said.
I saw how his eyebrows furrowed and how he placed a grin on his lips.
"It's nice seeing you... again, Ms. Santiago" he said.
"Attorney Santiago." I corrected him.
