Chapter 23
I messaged him that day. I did not brought up what I saw on that article because he didn't, too. I just keep on my mind that he did that maybe because he wanted to protect his career.
Wala akong pakialam kahit ilang beses niya akong itanggi sa mga taga-suporta niya. All that matters is that his and my family knows the truth and especially the both of us. I congratulated him that day. He even mentioned that he didn't know how to act with Trina that time.
Ate Mizee mentioned at one of the dinner I had with their family that she once worked with Trina in a magazine photoshoot. She assured me that Trina is a professional actress and I have nothing to worry about.
Both Ate Mizee and Mazro are doing well in the industry. They made couple of contents together. My awe for Ate Mizee never fades. Kung gaano ako ka-hanga sa kanya no'ng una ko siyang nakitang umarte, gano'n din ngayon na kilalang-kilala na siya ng mga tao. Hindi rin talaga maitatanggi ang talento ng magkapatid.
Binibiro ko paminsan-minsan si Dave na mag-artista na rin. He has no plans on show business. We are busy with our studies, third year college na kami, wala ng atrasan 'to. Masaya akong mayro'n akong Dave na kaagapay ko sa lahat ng pagsubok na hinarap ko. He's still the best friend I have.
Five months had passed. Sa limang buwan, ang daming nangyari. Isa o dalawang beses nalang kami nagkikita ni Maz dahil busy siya sa taping. We are thankful that technology is invented. He was so busy when the taping started, I never tried to handle him that busy before the taping started. There were days na walang communication dahil busy siya o dahil walang reception ang lugar kung saan sila nag-shoot.
It was a very hard challenge. Alam namin simula't sapol pa lamang na ganito ang mangyayari. Even though we prepared for something like this, we almost not made it to the end.
May mga araw na malapit na naming bitawan ang isa't-isa. In times that we are almost giving up, we remember the struggles we've been through. Dami na naming nalagpasan na pagsubok, ngayon pa ba kami bibitaw.
Hindi lang career niya ang inaatupag niya, he is also busy with his studies. Online siya nag-aaral. I can't imagine the struggle.
"Kanina ka pa diyan? Parang spy lang, ah." bungad ng kararating lang na si Dave.
"Matagal-tagal na rin. I decided to come here early because I am bored at my unit." I said.
Tumango siya. "Bumili ka na ba ng tickets?"
"Hindi pa. Inantay kitang dumating and the prior movie isn't finished, yet." I answered.
Nandito kami ngayon sa isang sinehan. Yes, today is the day that the movie will be released. Dave and I decided to watch the earliest one.
I saw the trailer and it was nice. I know this movie is nice, boyfriend ko ang bida, eh. It's just like the novels I read on book.
To: Maz
We are about to watch your movie. Kami ni Dave.
"Let's go. Malapit na sigurong matapos ang naunang pelikula." he said.
Bumili muna kami ng pagkain bago bumili ng tickets. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako kinakabahan. I should be proud that my boyfriend is starring in a movie. Andaming nangangarap na ma-boyfriend nila ang mga bida. For some reason, I am not yet ready.
Twenty minutes before they will allow people to enter inside for Maz's movie. Dami ring nag-aantay sa labas. May mga nagpapa-picture pa sa standee ni Maz. Feeling ko artista rin ako, I'm wearing this godamn mask and bucket hat. People might notice me from that issue.
"Gustong mong magpa-picture rin sa standee ni Maz? Kanina ka pa tingin ng tingin diyan. Picturan kita, dali!" tukso ni Dave.
"Tangina mo." sabi ko.
Ang daming nakakakilala at tinatanong ako sa school. I kept on denying it. Some of them insisted, dahil kumalat din 'yong mga pictures namin ni Maz from previous plays. We never posted about us on social media noon pa man, some photos were from the school's page.
Dave decided not to be part everytime may photoshoots ang family nila together with Tita Amaida. May pictures naman sila, he suggests not to post it on social media.
Pumasok na kami ni Dave sa sinehan. I decided na umupo kami sa last row of seats at do'n pa sa corner. Ewan ko nalang kung makikita pa ako dito.
Maraming tao ang dumating. Twenty minutes before the movie will start. I took a photo with Dave and sent it to Maz.

He rarely replies to my text and answers my calls lately. Alam kong busy niya pero, grabe naman. Nevermind!
Last month pa kami huling nagkita. He had dinner with his family and he invited me in. Umuwi rin siya afternoon after that day. We weren't able to go out on a date since I had classes that time.
The movie started. It's a nice movie with great plot and artists. I am so proud of how far he have reached. We were just acting on school plays before and now I can see his talents on big screens.
There are also some sweet scenes. Hindi ko alam ang nararamdaman ko.
Jenim, trabaho lang 'yan.
Ito namang katabi kong si Dave, panay tanong kung okay lang ba ako. Parang tanga.
I focused on the movie. Nagtitilian pa ang mga tao kapag mayro'ng sweet scenes at umiyak sa part na naghiwalay sila. So proud to know that he has this much supporters. Layo na ng naabot niya.
The movie goes on smoothly. I finished the foods even before it ended. I checked the time and an hour and thirty minutes had passed.
The movie ended with a kiss.
What?
I concealed how shocked I am. I maintained a smiling face under this mask.
The crowd went wild.
"Are you okay?" Dave asked.
"Yeah. Antayin lang nating makalabas sila bago tayo lalabas." I answered.
I opened my phone and texted Mazro.
