Chapter 32
"Kanina ka pa, ah! Nanggigigil na ako sa'yo." sabi ko.
"Please na, Attorney. Hindi po ako makakapasok sa kwarto ko." sabi ng assistant ni Mazro.
"Ano ba kasing kailangan niya?" tanong ko.
"Aba, ewan ko po."
It's my third day here in LA. Yesterday I went shopping for clothes, books, and stuffs that caught my eye. It was pretty tiring but, it was also a stress reliever. I felt relaxed.
Today, I'm at the rooftop of this hotel. I was planning to chill all day. There's a pool and wonderful view in front of me. It's already three in the afternoon and the sun's rays aren't that painful anymore.
I can't concentrate with this book that I'm reading because of this boy right beside me. Kanina pa siyang mukhang tanga dito, simula no'ng nagtagpo muli kami sa ground flour ng hotel no'ng pabalik na ako galing kumain ng hapunan sa labas.
He kept on asking me to go and meet his boss. As far as I can remember, I don't have any unfinished bussines with his boss.
"Sige na, Attorney." here he goes again.
"Do you know that I can sue you?" I said.
He's disturbing me for hours already.
"Walang ganyanan, Attorney." sabi niya at lumayo ng kaunti.
I looked at him.
"Ano ba kasing mayro'n sa'yo at grabe maka-utos si Sir Mazro na dapat pumayag kang makipag-usap sa kanya?" sabi niya at napakamot sa ulo niya.
I looked at him with cold eyes. I closed the book that I am reading and stared at him.
He flinched.
"Bakit hindi mo tinanong sa amo mo bago mo sinunod ang utos niya?" tanong ko.
"Tinanong ko naman po kaso sabi niya it's none of my business daw tsaka wala naman akong magagawa kahit sagutin niya pa ako o hindi."
Mazro's right. It's none of his assistant's business.
"What did he exactly told you to do?" I asked.
"Ito po 'yong sinabi niya, Attorney. Makinig ka, ha? "You told me that lawyer is in this hotel, right? Go find her and tell her that I want to have a talk with her. Hawak ko ang card sa room mo, hindi ka makakapasok hangga't hindi mo siya mapapayag. Hanap ka nalang ng ibang hotel.", 'yon po!"
"Kasalanan mo pala, eh! Why did you tell him that I'm also here?"
"Sinabi ko lang naman po na nandito 'yong kakilala niyang abogada tapos no'ng tinanong niya kung sino, sabi ko 'yong sa eroplano."
Bwesit! If I can punch this man right here and right now, I already did.
"Wala ba siyang lakad ngayon?" I asked.
He should be busy. Ganyan naman talaga siya palagi.
Oh! That was bitter of me.
"Wala. Bukas may practice siya kaya pumayag ka na."
Wow, ha? Tangina lang.
"Fine! Guide me where the hell is he so that so you can finally stop pestering me!"
Biglang lumiwanag ang mukha niya.
"Totoo, Attorney?!"
I made a face. "Hindi." I philosophized.
Agad siyang tumayo. I stood up and followed him.
"Salamat talaga, Attorney. Ang hirap 'pag sa ibang hotel ako mags-stay." sabi niya habang naglalakad kami.
