Chapter 10

When everybody had gotten to their second class, Brooke knelt down on her knees and fixed up her black and green mini dress. She put her dead straight ruby red hair to her left side and looked at me with understanding in her eyes.

"Principle Gray told me about you and Jye. Did you want to go for a walk and talk about it?" She asked kindly. I wanted to look into her grey eyes but then I stopped myself.

"You know, you can look into my eyes. If you don't want to see me die, all you have to do is blink because I don't know if you have realized, but you don't blink when you're using your powers.Just blink once and you won't see any scary stuff until you look away and look back again. I know, we psychics are weird."

I looked into her pretty grey eyes and saw her standing in front of a supermarket. Then I blinked and it all went away. She is going to die in a supermarket? I thought. Poor girl.

"Thanks," was all I said.

"C'mon, let's go and get your mind off complicated guys shall we?" She helped me to my feet."Oh, and not to mention seeing their complicated deaths as well." She said with a smile.

"That is a great idea. What's the venue?"

"Well, I was thinking Nelly's. Cake and coffee sound alright to you?" She asked as we walked towards the canteen.

"Sounds great. I think I'm gonna need a big piece of chocolate cake to get my mind off everything that has happened today." Now that my tears had subsided, I was back to my semi-self and was at least able to make a serious statement.

"You can eat as much chocolate cake as you want; my shout."

"Thanks. I didn't think to bring my wallet before I left the house. I'm such an idiot."

We walked up two sets of stairs before we got to what I thought was the canteen. It was actually where all the dorms were.

"There is a coffee shop where our dorms are?" I asked astonished.

"Not exactly." She said with a smirk.

"Then where are we going?"

"To the roof." She said as easily as you would say 'the sky is blue'.

"But why the roof, I mean isn't it a bit dangerous for a school this high?"

"Well, this isn't a normal school. The roof is the ultimate hang out for all the cool psychs, and that is where my work is. And we are lucky I work there because I get a thirty percent employee discount."

"Alright, sounds cool. So how do we get there?" I asked as we got into an elevator type room. The only thing that was missing was the floor numbers and different buttons-oh yeah, there was also no roof. I was starting to get suspicious when Brooke grabbed my hand.

"Well, the only way to get up there is if you have a psychic werewolf." She said.

"A psychic werewolf, I have heard of psychic vampire's before but is there such a thing as a psychic werewolf?" I asked confused.

"Sweetie, you have moved to a new country, found out that you are a psychic, you're soon-to-be-boyfriend is a ghost and you got suspended for doing nothing. You are in no position to doubt anything."

"Alright, then at least tell me how this works."

"Well, if you haven't already figured, I am your wolf. And don't worry because I won't eat you or turn into a wolf like Jacob from twilight or anything like that. Psychic vampire's suck the energy out of living things and use it as their source of energy. As long as there is living, breathing things like an animal or person they can suck the energy out of, then they can stay alive for as long as their heart's content.
