JYE.

THE day she saw me was strange. Nobody had ever seen me for ten years except for Principal Gray and the two guys I hung out with at Green Day. She saw me, and she talked to me. And although people stopped and stared, I couldn't help but get to know her now.

I knew that she was a sight seer, and somehow, she’d see my death and find out the truth about me, but I wasn’t ready to take that risk and tell her the truth.

Seeing Ariana again made me fell human for the first time in ages. That car crash killed me and I was still floating around. Gray would tell her to forget about me, and I'd have to return back to Green Day Academy full time. But I need this friendship back, and I'll try as long as it lasts.

Everyone who went to GDA had some sort of psychic power. I am a hereafter soothsayer-- I see the future, but because I’m not human, I can also see the past.

Jye was my alterego. I hated him with a passion because of the way he treated people, but Jye doesn't care about anything. And Jye has nothing to lose.

Gray created Jye, and this idea that Jye went to GDA and Jayden went to NGH.

Only i knew the difference between the two: Jye was not me, Jayden was.

I had to become Jye sooner or later, but becoming Jye and knowing that he and Ariana would meet scared me, because Ariana was a nice girl. Jye is not a nice guy. Lying sucks, but in the end, it did get me where I wanted to be.

Telling Nina my story was really hard because she didn’t believe Jayden was real. She thought that I just made him up so I could get out of telling her the truth, but best friends tell each other everything right?

I ended up explaining to her the events of that day and that lead up to when I met Jayden. She still didn’t believe me so I told her that the next time I had bio, I would get him to meet her. the only problem was, I didn’t have bio until week B.

“Look, if you don’t believe me then forget about it. It’s too much to explain and I don’t want to go into that much detail. You said yourself that I was different right? The only way for you to know that is to believe what I say. I promise if I see him again I will tell you everything. This might just be the beginning of a whole new relationship.” I said with a sarcastic smile.

“No way! You just met him, how can you like him?”

“I don’t, but I just can’t stop thinking about him. There was something about him, but he was really cool and easy going.”

“Yeah, right. I totally believe you.” Nina said avoiding eye contact.

“What? You don’t believe me? Nina, we have been best friends for how long now? That is the second thing today that you don’t believe me about.” It was only Neveah and her roommate anyway. We were the last room in a hallway full of them.

“Hey, remember when I told you I had a huge crush on Ayden? Well, I figured that out because I couldn’t stop thinking about him! I was thinking the exact same thing that you are! So you like him, I know you do.” She said pointing an accusing finger at me.

“Look, I don’t like him, yet... But there is just something about him. I don't know how to explain it, but there's something about him that isn't right. It's weird.” Yet weird totally didn’t cut it.

“I’m not saying I don’t believe you. I just... just...” she trailed off.

“You just what Nina?”

“Don’t you remember?”

“Remember what? Just stop dropping hints and get to the point already!”

“You met him when we were six and then he died in a massive car crash! That’s what I don’t get Ree. I don’t get why you don’t remember him, I don’t get why you don’t remember the car crash because you were lying in your room crying for a week. Then one day, you just woke up and you were OK with everything. I don’t get why you don’t remember the person you said you loved when we were six. And what I don’t get the most is why he is our age and has a different name!”

“You don’t know this for real.” I stopped shouting at her and instead was looking at her with tears streaming down my face. She was pacing the room and I was sitting on my single bed.

“What is going on in here?” Neveah said storming into the room. “I can here you shouting from across the hall. I was getting to know my neighbours and heard you two fighting. That is not like you at all. What is wrong? Why are you crying Hun?” the last sentence she said with her normal, sweet voice and came down to sit next to me and rubbed my back.

She looked at Nina. “Did you do this?” it was a simple question that Nina answered with a weird kind of sign and Nev looked at me with a worried look. Her light eyeliner exaggerating the worry in her big bambi eyes and asked, “You saw him didn’t you?”

“What?” I said wiping my nose.

“Ariana Taylor, I let you take the rest of the day off and you disobey my orders? How dare you! Come with me right this instant young lady, we need to discuss the situation right away.” That was Mr Gray, his voice as furious as the upset teacher he was. He walked into the room, grabbed my hand and dragged me out.

“The things teenagers get up to.” He muttered to himself as he dragged me to the bottom of the stairs and across the field to where his office was.

“What do you mean I trashed the school grounds? I’ve only been here for a day and already you’re accusing me of something I didn’t do?” If Mr Gray was as angry as I was, then he didn’t show any of it on his face because my screaming was loud and I wasn’t exactly in the mood.

“Ms Taylor I have a witness and that is all I need to suspend you from this school right away. You will be sent home tomorrow by bus and your mum and her partner will be informed right away. It is up to them to decide what will happen but until then, two weeks and you are not permitted on school grounds during any hours or day. You are lucky the police are not involved.”

“But what do you mean witness? I have been in my room all day recalling today’s strange events and trying to figure out what the heck is up with Jayden, because I swear, that dude...”

“Is what, made up? I know everyone at this school, and everyone knows me. And I have never heard of this weird Jayden guy before.” That voice had been annoying me ever since bio and when I looked to my right, sure as hell sitting on another chair was Monique. I didn’t even realise she was sitting there when Mr Gray dragged me into this stupid room.

“What on earth is she doing here? I could’ve sworn I didn’t see her when I walked into the room.” I said  incredulously, looking at Mr Gray.
