It had been a week since mum's amazing wedding night. Things seemed to be settling down with her and Steve at home and you could see how in love they were by looking at them.
After heart-felt goodbyes, I finally took off to school. Monday sucks. Especially the first day back after a break.
I was in biology listening to the teacher go on about plant cells. I wasn't really paying attention, just thinking about the school formal.
Jye slid into the seat next to me because my partner was away. A couple of the people who could sense ghosts shifted in their seat and I just laughed quietly at myself.
"Meet me at Gray's place after school?" He asked as I pretended to scribble some notes in my work book.
I gave him a sidewards glance and discretely nodded.
"You do know it is your place now?" I wrote down in my book for him to read.
"I'm aware of that, but it will always be Gray's to me." He smiled sadly and almost disappeared when he re materialised back in the chair.
I wriggled my eyebrows at him.
"Wear something with heels. Something fancy." He chuckled.
"Where are you going with this?" I wrote and when I looked up, he was gone.
Hmm, Jye seemed to be up to something. 'Something' must've been the understatement of the year.

I pulled up in front of Jye's-- Gray's-- house and quickly applied some lipstick in the rear view mirror. I stepped out of the car and looked down, I was happy with what I looked like.
I wore a simple red halter-neck dress with a low cut back and black heels. My hair was up in a messy bun with curled strands falling around my face-- which had simple make-up and red lipstick. I adjusted my black earrings before I started the trek towards Gray's mansion.
Before I could knock on the door, Jye had greeted me with a hug. He stepped back and drank in my appearance as I drank in his. He was wearing a black tuxedo with a red tie-- almost as if he knew I was wearing a red dress.
"You look... Stunning." He said, his mouth agape.
"You don't clean up too bad yourself, handsome." I said with a broad smile.
He beamed at me and took my arm, leading me inside. Even with heels on, Jye was still taller than me by at least a head. I loved the height difference though.
"Wow... Jye this is... Beautiful." I said. It was my turn to have my mouth in the very unattractive form of an 'o'.
I looked around the candlelit room and then back at Jye. I gave him a questioning glance.
"I've always wanted to take you out on a date but I can't really do that in public. Now that this place is my own... I wanted to give it a shot," Jye said sheepishly.
I put my arms around his neck, his instantly slid around my waist and I looked him in the eyes. I was so glad I could only see that horrific scene of his death once.
"Jye, you are absolutely amazing. I don't care that you can't take me out on a date, being with you keeps my heart content. Thank you... So much." With that, I locked our lips in a long, passionate kiss.
"I would do anything for you Ree." He said, caressing my cheek.
I smiled to myself-- I had the best boyfriend in the world. Even though he was a ghost.

After the amazing three course meal Jye cooked for me-- yes, he actually cooked-- we went to watch a movie.
