I walked into Green Day for the first time in ages. I looked up at the chandelier that bought me the vision of Jye's death and mentally shook off the thought. Everyone else saw it as just a chandelier but me, i didn't. Everything seemed normal-- kids roaming the hallways, people making out in the corner, people staring at each other intently-- probably having a telepathic conversation-- whilst other people were trying to move things with their hand. The joys of going to an openly psychic boarding school.
I was glad to be back.
"Hello stranger!" I saw the ruby red hair before i recognised the voice.
"Hey Brooke, how's it going?" I asked. I realised she had a tendency to turn up when i wasn't in too much trouble which was quite annoying considering she always asked if i needed anything.
"Where have you been?" She asked giving me a hug.
"Where have i been? I haven't seen you in forever!" I exclaimed.
"I told you i'm in and out of jobs. I was working out of town for a while but i came back here to see how things were going. I heard about Michael, terrible news." She sighed.
"I know, no one was expecting it..." I trailed off after i realised i was expecting it.
"No one except for you?" She asked quizzically.
"Sorry what?"
"It's okay Ariana, I know about your powers. If you want to know how i tie up to all this... It's complicated but i'm gonna have to tell you over coffee. I'll meet you upstairs when school's out." She ran off before i could give her an answer so i sighed and walked to class on my own.
With my luck, my first class was biology-- double. I decided to skip the first period and pack, heading toward my dorm. I ran into Mavis and JT on the way there.
"So she's back!" They exclaimed.
"Yes i am. And i really am not in the mood for you guys to be bothering me at the moment so can you please just leave me alone?"
"Ooh she's feisty today." Mavis said.
"Well i might as well say it to your face because you're going to read my mind anyway," i replied.
"Oh c'mon, there's something... different about you isn't there?" JT asked whilst Mavis just stared at me intently.
"Okay, keep staring like that and i'm going to have to scream. It's quite freaky."
"She's in love." Mavis stated after a while.
"With Ryan? Are you sick?" JT asked.
"Seriously, with Ryan? What is wrong with you? Do you even know how to use your abilities because it seems like you're at a loss." I snapped.
"JYE!" Mavis hollered.
"Don't you dare. Please i want to sought this out on my own."
"Sorry babe, but we're here to make your life harder not easier." Mavis replied.
"Please, don't call him here. I'll do anything you want just.. Please don't tell him." I begged.
"Anything we want aye?" JT asked with a devilish smirk. I did not like where this was going.
"You can do us a big favour missy," Mavis said with a wink. JT looked at Mavis with a smile before announcing my oh-so-painful punishment. So i thought anyway.
"You have to tell Jye you love him." They said in unison.
"Why?" I hissed. They knew i didn't plan to tell him because i had no clue how to go about it.
