Chapter Seventeen

Ashton's POV

"Why the h*ll aren't they back yet!" I scream! They haven't been back for almost an hour and I'm worried something happened to them! "I'm going up there!" I say for the third time but for the third time Ryanne grabs my arm and tells me that I shouldn't and that she will go up with me if I do and I can't risk her life too! I shake her off. "Listen!" I say firmly. "One of my best friends is up there with your best friend! If you want to come along fine! But I'm saving them!" I tell her. "No! They're fine! Don't you dare go up there Ashton! They. Are. FINE!" She yells and I look at her questioning her. She turns her head and says whatever and Luke, Michael, and I run upstairs. "WAIT!" Jordyn calls. "Tell me how they are! I would come too but I can't walk!" She cries and I see tears in her eyes different from the hate and exhaustion in Ryannes eyes and the worry/relief in Sydney's eyes. It's like Ryanne doesn't even care and Sydney sorta cares. But that's besides the point! I see Luke nod at Jordyn and tell her to rest! We push the door open but it takes a lot of strength to do it! I see a tree and broken pieces of the wall with no way under, over, or around it. "CALUM?!!!" Mikey calls out. "SARAH?!!" Luke calls. "Over here! We're ok! We're just stuck over here!" Calum calls. "We're gonna dig you out!" I tell them and start pulling at tree branches. "Don't bother! We already tried! Besides it you guys that need more help! We have water bottles and food! You guys need this stuff or you might not make it 24 more hours!" Sarah stresses! "How's Jordyn?" She asks. "She's worried about you!" Luke yells. I hear running and Ryanne comes up the stairs. "So where are they?" She asks. "Over there." I tell her pointing to the tree. "SARAH!!!! I'm coming! Hold on!" She yells suddenly concerned. "Whoa! Mood swing much?" Mikey jokes and I punch him in the arm. "No! He's right!" Ryanne argues. "I was a b*tch, I thought that maybe they were.....having fun! But then I remembered it's Sarah! She's a goody-two-shoes who is very holy and wouldn't ever!" She cries and I hug her. "It's ok. Your heart was in the right place!" I tell her. "OKAY!" Calum yells. "Now if we could PLEASE get back to the rescuing now!" He says and I laugh. Sydney comes up looking exhausted. "I'm not staying but I heard yelling! Sarah are you ok?" Syd asks. "Yah but go help Jordyn!" Sarah instructs and Sydney runs downstairs. We all pull at branches and ruble and finally I feel Sarah's hand through the other side!" CMON JUST A LITTLE MORE!" I encourage and we pull apart the wall and they're free! "YES!!" We cheer and Sarah and Calum pass out water and we gulp it down. We grab cereal and cookies from the pantry. They were the only things left. "It's too dangerous to go outside still but you guys are so famous that I'm sure by tomorrow they'll have a search and rescue team out looking for us!" Sarah tells us. We nod our heads and go back to the basement. We hand out the food and water to Jordyn and Sydney and then sit in silence. Now we just have to wait and survive!
