Sarah's POV

"That's it I can't take it anymore!" I scream. "I'm going out there! It can't be as bad as before it's been almost 24 hours! We do not live in an area with massive storms like this! It has to be our imagination hearing how strong it is! I'm going upstairs to see what the heck is going on! If the house is still I good shape I'll come down and get you! If the storm is bad and the house is ruined I'll get water and food and come back down but there is no way I'm dying tonight!" I state promptly and march upstairs without giving anyone time to think! I hear footsteps behind me but continue walking! I open the door with almost no trouble. When the door is opened I look to see that several ceiling beams have fallen and all the windows are shattered. The floorboards are cracked and the walls have holes in them. "Omigod!" I say. "Jeez!" Calum says behind me. I turn to look at him and he stares back at me. "I couldn't let you come up here and get injured!" He explains. I smile at him. He's so sweet! I look outside, there's no tornado but there's still a lot of wind whipping around in the air. Dust from the ceiling falls and there's a loud crack. a tree falls through the house and I scream. Calum pushes me out of the way just as the tree falls where I was and part of that wall crumbles down with it. We were trapped.

I shiver in Calum's arms and slowly get up. We are close to the kitchen so I move toward that. The fridge is broken but what was inside remains. I grab a box of cereal and some water bottles and go back to Calum. "We have to get back to them!" I say. "I know. I just don't see a way out!" He tells me. "We will just have to find one then." I say and start moving toward the fallen tree. There has to be a way back to them. It's the only way to save all of us!

Again sorry for such a short chapter but I want each chapter to be from a different character POV if you haven't already figured that out and I want to get back to the people in the basement. Let's hope they live!
