Chaper 41

Michaels POV

Ash and I wait in the waiting room anxious to see the twins. "Do you guys want to meet my daughters?" Luke asks poking his head out of Jordyn's room. "YES!!!!" We scream and run into the room. Sarah is holding one little baby in a pink blanket and Jordyn is holding another in a yellow blanket. "They're so small!" Ashton says. "Can we hold them?" I ask. Jordyn nods and Sarah hands me the baby in her arms and Jordyn hands Ashton the other. "So who is this?" I ask. "That's Katie." Sarah says gesturing to me. "And that's Peyton." Jordyn adds. "Awww! They're so cute! Goochi goochi goo!" Ashton giggles. "Wow, Ash, babies sure do bring out your sensitive side!" I laugh. "Shut up man!" He snaps defensively. "Alright gimme one!" Calum says. "It's my turn to hold one." I hand him Katie and he smiles down at her. "Hey you, I'm Uncle Cal! I'll be your favorite I promise. I am the funny one." He jokes. "Dude I'll be the one to teach them how to dye they're hair cool colors! Obviously that'll make me their favorite." I remark. "Yah girls do love dying their hair." Luke laughs. "Oh crap! Just...uh...oh SHUT UP!" I stammer. They all laugh at the joke and I laugh with them. It was sorta funny. "Anyway, Jordyn and the girls can leave tomorrow so until then you guys can go home and finish decorating the nursery. I have to stay here to take care of them but you guys have to make sure everything is baby-proofed and sterilized by tomorrow!" Sarah instructs. "Got it, Boss!" I say and salute to her. Ash gives Jordyn Peyton and salutes as well. Luke and Calum copy and we march out singing. "Hut two three four hut two three four!" As we leave I hear the girls laughing.

Back at the mansion Luke stops us at the doorway. "Alright! Michael and Calum finish baby proofing all of the sharp edges and corners and don't forget to put plugs in all of the outlets! Ashton and I will finish decorating the nursery and putting the baby stuff in the drawers like clothes and diapers. Okay let's go go go!!" He chants and we run in screaming like a bunch of barbarians. Ashton and Luke run upstairs and Calum and I grab foam and outlet plugs off the counter and start placing them all over the house. "Don't you think Luke is over-doing it with this baby stuff?" I ask Calum. "No. In fact when Sarah gets pregnant I'm gonna do much more than just baby-proofing!" He tells me. "You said when Sarah gets pregnant. Are you guys trying?" I ask. "I'm not sure! We agreed we want a child but we never discussed when we will try to have one. I know I want to right now but Sarah seems a little preoccupied." Calum tells me. "Oh." I say. "All finished! How are you guys doing?" Luke says coming down the stairwell. "Done." I tell him. "Okay I'm gonna head back to the hospital but you guys can hang out here if you want to." He says and leaves. "Our little Lukie is all grown up." Ash says. "Oh c'mon! He might have a wife and kids but he's still the party animal we all know and love!" I say. "It doesn't matter. The party's over. We're adults now and our career is dying. We're not 5 Seconds of Summer anymore, we're just Ashton, Luke, Michael, and Calum. I'm sorry but it's true." Calum says and walks away. "Is he right? Is it really all over?" I ask but Ashton doesn't respond. I don't think he has an answer that I would like.
