Sarah's POV

I decided to give Calum some space but after about an hour he still wasn't home. I'm worried something happened to him. I know exactly where he went. A wife knows all. I know that when he's stressed he goes to Gerl Bar. I get into my black Volvo and drive over to the bar. I walk in and recognize my old bud Grant. When he sees me he blushes and ducks behind the counter. "GERL! Hey man! What's wrong?" I ask Grant Gerl. "Do you know? Are you here to kill me? Oh gosh this is worse than when I mispronounced your favorite band members name back in middle school!" He whines. "What the heck are you talking about?" I ask. "Uh....nothing!" He stammers. "Graaant!" I say powerfully. "Okay okay! Listen I tried to stop him! He got really really drunk!" He says really fast. "Get to the point, Gerl!" I demand. "Okay...um....well Lily Ross showed up right when Calum got really really drunk over Luke being in a coma and they....uh...well they made out and then left together. I don't know where they are now." He says. I'm speechless. I can't think I can't breathe! I clutch my heart like I'm having a heart attack and take it all in. "D-did he say where they were going?" I stammer. "I'm sorry, no. Do you need a drink? On the house!" He asks. "That'll be great!" I say. "Here! My specialty 'The Heartbreak Cure'." He says handing me a colorful drink in a tall glass. "Thanks!" I say and drink. "Sarah?" I hear someone say. I turn around to look straight into the eyes of my ex boyfriend Max. "Max! Hey." I say as he sits on the chair next to me. "How've you been?" He asks. "Honestly, not good! Life sucks." I mutter. "Oh yah I heard about Ryanne and Sydney on the news!" He says. "Even almost a year after. My husband might be having an affair with Lily Ross." I explain. "Oh...you're married." He says sounding disappointed. "Maybe not for much longer. He's really been a jerk lately!" I say. "But you said divorce is something that you'll never agree to!" He argues. "Max, I wish that we're the case but then again I never thought I'd marry someone who gets drunk and has an affair with someone I went to high school with." I explain. "Yah I guess that sorta does it." Max adds. We sit in silence for a while but then he says, "Let me take you out to dinner, as friends!" I think about this for a moment. "Okay, as friends!" I agree and we get up to leave.

At the restaurant Max stares at me as I order and as I eat. "What?" I say finally. "Nothing. I just forgot how beautiful you are!" He says. "Oh please! You're just saying that to be nice! I'm not pretty. You always knew that." I say. "I could say more but you'd just argue with me and I hate it when you get mad at me." He says. "Stop it!" I demand. "Stop what?" He asks. "Being so.....so.....so you! I mean stop being that cute and kind guy that I fell in love with so long ago! I'm married, remember?" I say. "Ah but you said it's not gonna last!" He responds. "I said 'might' smart guy!" I laugh. "Fine fine! But just remember that you'll always have me! I'm always here. Whether as a friend or more." He adds and I smile at him. "You know you dumped me!" I remind him. "Biggest mistake ever! I highly regret it." He says. "Max...just....stop okay? I loved you even after we broke up! It's not fare for you to be so sweet even if it doesn't mean anything." I say. "Why? Are you scared you still have feelings for me?" He asks. "Of course! Okay? Is that what you wanted to hear? That I'm a hopeless romantic who is scared of her own feeling. Of course I'm scared that I still have feelings for you! I loved you and I don't know about you but that doesn't happen to me a lot! It's only happened twice. Once with you and once with Calum. And I MARRIED Calum! If there's any chance of my marriage working then I'm gonna make it work!" I say and a single tear runs down my cheek. "I'm sorry." He apologizes. "It's not your fault. I shouldn't be here. I'm sorry I have to go! I say getting up from the table and waking out the door. "Sarah, wait!" He tries calling after me but I drive off in my car. Seeing Max was a mistake. Calum was just drunk! He wouldn't do this to me if he wasn't. I hope.
