It was a month since the 'special event' happened downstairs. It's been quiet between my family. I was terrified to ask xavier what happened that day. I feel like he would tell me, but seeing how he was that day, looking so eager, I didn't think he would tell me. I guess it's now or never, cause I just heard his bedroom door close.
I slipped out of bed, quietly cause it was late at night, and made my way over to his room. My knuckles rapped softly against his door. It swung open, revealing him with an arched eyebrow. My eyes went straight to his left arm, but he was wearing a long sleeved pajama shirt.
"Can I help you, y/n?"
I snapped my eyes back to xavier. "It's been a while since I've talked to you. Can I come in?"
"Y/n, the only time you ever really talk to me is at school, and that's as rare as a blue moon."
I pushed past him, and walked into his bedroom, jumping onto his bed. "And since when did you start calling me by my name? First it was my name, then my nickname, and now my name again."
"Please, come on in." He said sarcastically. "What is it that you really want?"
I chewed on my bottom lip, and sighed. "Fine. Are you a death eater?"
An awkward silence washed over the two of us. I waited patiently for his answer. He reached down, and started to roll up his left sleeve, showing off the tattoo. My heart sank at the sight.
"No, xavier. No!"
"No? What do you mean 'no'? This is the best thing that has ever happened to me, y/n! When the dark lord spoke to me, it just made everything so clear."
"He made what so clear?"
"Just everything he's doing. Everything he wanted to do. I truly believe he's the greatest wizard of all time."
Tears formed in my eyes, burning as they did. "Xavier, he's brainwashing you-"
"Don't you ever say that!" He gripped my face between his pointer finger and thumb. "Not until you're in my shoes. Once you are, everything will make sense."
I smacked his hand away. "I'd rather die than be like you!"
"Then what's stopping you? Huh?"
"Because unlike you, I actually have friends, asshole!"
I jumped off his bed, shouldered past him, and slammed my bedroom door shut.

The next morning at breakfast, I didn't make eye contact with anyone. I made sure to keep my head down and eat. Once I eat, I can go back upstairs, and lock myself in my room.
"Y/n, did you hear that harry potter might be expelled from school?" Father said.
Well, there goes that idea.
I lifted my head, and looked at him. "I'm sorry, what?" He gave me a look. I forgot, he hates to repeat himself. "How - why? Why is he getting expelled?"
"Apparently, he used magic outside of school. You haven't been doing any magic, have you?"
"Of course not, father. I know better."
"Good girl." Mother patted my shoulder.
"But harry might not be expelled, right? He has a chance to fight-"
"If only." I looked to the entrance of the dining room, and saw the three malfoys. "Charles, are you ready to go to work?"
"Yes, I was just waiting for the kids to get their hogwarts letters."
"We think xavier will be head boy, and y/n a prefect." Mother smiled.
"Really?" Narcissa raised her eyebrows. "Well, draco just got his letter, and he's been made a slytherin prefect."
I smiled up at him. "Congratulations, draco."
There was a sudden pecking at the window. I looked over, and saw a screech owl with two letters tied to it's leg. Xavier ran over to get them. He came back to the table, and practically threw my letter at me. Draco gave me a weird look, wondering what in the world just happened.
I shook my head slightly, and ripped open my letter. A prefect badge spilled out into my palm. I smiled at the sight, and read the letter. As I read, my eyebrows started or furrow.
"Y/n, is something wrong?" Mother asked.
"Um, I don't know. Dumbledore said that there were three gryffindor prefects from my year." I answered.
"Why?" Father arched an eyebrow.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Maybe it's because they couldn't choose between hermione and I."
It was dead silent. I looked around, and saw mother and father looking at each other.
"You mean that mudblood?" Father clenched his teeth.
"M-muggle born." I corrected.
"You're telling me, that dumbledore had to pick between you and a mudblood? He should have picked you! There should have been no competition!"
"She's very smart-"
"And apparently you're not."
"No, I am. It's just that hermione and I are both excellent in school-"
"But you should be better than a mudblood!" His face was getting red. His eyes flickered over to the malfoys, who were standing in the doorway. "Do you have any idea how embarrassing it is knowing that you're being outsmarted by a damn mudblood?" He stood up, and grabbed my shirt.
"No! No, please!" I pleaded, as he dragged me away. I looked to draco, and saw that his father had a tight grip on his shoulder, keeping him from going anywhere.
I tripped when we reached the stairs, but he didn't stop. He continued to pull, and pull, and pull me all the way up to my bedroom. He threw me on the ground, and I scrambled backwards, until my back hit the door to my balcony.
"Do you have any idea how much of a disgrace you are to us? What is the dark lord were here this morning? How would you feel knowing that you've embarrassed your family in front of him?"
"Why should I care what he thinks? It's not like I'm some pathetic death eater like you!"
He grabbed the front of my shirt, and pulled me closer to his face. "Just you wait, little girl! Just you wait!"
