Can I just say thank goodness that it was raining? After care of magical creatures, angelina had found her team to tell us that practice had been cancelled. Harry had told hermione, ron and I all about dobby's visit the night before. Apparently there was a hidden room that we could use.

"Good," Harry said quietly, when she told us. "because we've found somewhere to have our first defense meeting. Tonight, eight o'clock, seventh floor opposite that tapestry of barnabas the barmy being clubbed by those trolls. Can you tell katie?"

Angelina left, looking surprised. I went back to my food, but felt some tension at the table. I looked up to see hermione staring at harry.

"What?" He asked her.

"Well...it's just that dobby's plans aren't always that safe. Don't you remember when he lost you all the bones in your arm?"

"This room isn't just some mad idea of dobby's; dumbledore knows about it, too, he mentioned it to me at the yule ball."

I scrunched my eyebrows in thought. Where did xavier, sebastian and I practice for the yule ball last year?

"You said it was on the seventh floor?" I asked harry.

He nodded. "Opposite that tapestry."

"Oh, I know what you're talking about. Xavier, sebastian and I used that place for practice. I've never seen the room before, but it surprisingly had everything we needed. I think dumbledore told me about it as well."

Hermione's expression cleared.

"Dumbledore told you both about it?"

"Just in passing." Harry shrugged.

"And he told me just to look along that floor."

"Oh, well, that's all right then." Hermione raised no more objections.

At half past seven harry, ron, hermione and I left the gryffindor common room. Harry was clutching the marauders map in his hands. Fifth-years were allowed to be out in the corridors until nine o'clock, but all four of us kept looking around nervously as we made our way along the seventh floor.

"Hold it." Harry warned, unfolding the piece of parchment at the top of the last staircase, tapping it with his wand and muttering, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

I looked over his shoulder and watched as a map of hogwarts appeared on the blank surface of the parchment. Tiny black moving dots, labelled with names, showed where various people were.

"Filch is on the second floor," Harry said, holding the map close to his eyes. "bad mrs. norris is on the fourth."

"And umbridge?" Hermione anxiously asked.
