When it was time for practice, I walked down to the quidditch pitch by myself. I couldn't stop thinking about how my friends were leaving me out of everything. But I guess that's what I get for being the 'bad guy'. I wish I could tell them everything that going on, but I would die the second I get home.
"Somethings in your mind, isn't there?" George came up, throwing his arm over my shoulders. Fred appeared on my other side.
I gritted my teeth. "I guess you could say that."
"What's wrong, little y/n?" Fred asked.
I forced a kind smile up to them. I couldn't ever be rude to them. They were the ones who were stills friends with harry during my second year, when everyone was convinced he was the heir of slytherin. But would they still be nice to me if they knew what I was going through? Probably not. I should just go to professor dumbledore and ask him to try on the sorting hat again. I bet it would put me in slytherin. After all, that's where I truly belong.
"It's nothing. Xavier is just getting on my nerves lately." I lied easily.
"Yeah, what is it with him this year? Last year he was..." George trailed off, trying to think of a decent word to describe my brother. "Now I want to kick him in the face every time I look at him."
I chuckled. "Can you two reach that high?"
"Of course we can." Fred said. "Have you seen our legs?"
We walked into the changing rooms, and I started to get dressed in my uniform. I pulled my hair to the side, and started to braid it when harry and ron walked in.
"All right, ron?" George winked at him.
"Yeah." Ron said quietly.
"Ready to show us all up, ickle prefect?" Fred asked, grinning.
"Shut up."
I met harry's eyes, and I quickly looked away.
"Okay, everyone." Angelina said, entering from the captain's office. "Let's get to it. Katie and fred, if you can just bring out the ball crate for us. Oh, and there are a couple of people out there watching but I want you to just ignore them, all right?"
I sighed, knowing exactly who she was talking about. I gathered my broom, and followed the rest of the team out.
"Y/n, can I talk to you?" Harry asked, walking in time with me.
My eyes shot daggers at him. "I don't know. Do you actually want to talk to me, or ignore me like you, ron and hermione did at breakfast?"
I swung my leg over my broom and kicked off into the air.
"What's that weasley's riding?" I heard draco call from the stands. "Why would anyone put a flying charm on a moldy old log like that?"
Crabbe, goyle and pansy shrieked in laughter. I looked over my shoulder at the four of them and gave them a disapproving look. Draco smirked.
