Andrew's POV
"It's time for me to leave." Ryan leaves the room before I can say a word.
I continue surfing the channels with a stern look. His shoes echo around the house as he walks to sit across from me. Paying no attention, I turn off the TV and start cleaning my mess.
"Andrew, come on. Stop acting like a child." He sits, "You have to talk to me, and we have to talk." Shaking my head I turn to the nearest trashcan, leaving him with nothing but silence.
Leaning against the kitchen's counter and I sigh. My head is going crazy. A part of me wants to know what his true intentions are, why he is here. But another won't let me.
I want to close my eyes and scream, hoping that when I open them everything will be fine again.
Marcus's POV
I look around at my surroundings and nothing has changed. Everything is as I remember; blood red furniture around a small wooden coffee table with a fireplace in front of it all. Memories flood my head of a time where nothing was complicated. The best time of my life, I had everything I could wish for. Sadly, it was shortly lived.
Without realization Andrew is standing next to me. "I think you should leave," He says crossing his arms together. I take a moment to admire him; he looks just like his mother.
"You look just like her you know..." I smile but he looks down at the floor.
"Do you think this is a game?" says Andrew with more than annoyance in his voice.
"This is beyond a game to me. I want to know you, you're my son. I want to know my son." He dryly laughs.
"Funny you should say because unfortunately, I feel the exact opposite." For a moment I'm paralyzed, I try to hide it but, his words hurt. "Don't say that, I'm your father." His laughter mocks me. "You're nothing but a stranger to me."
"I know you're angry and I'm sorry,"
"No, I don't think you do and I don't need your apologize because it means nothing to me." He spits out with his arms are no longer crossed; they're at his side made into half way fists, one foot behind the other.
At this point I don't know if will ever get my son back.
Elizabeth's POV
It's late but I don't want to go home just yet, I take my time walking back. The streets are busy and along with the cold breeze it soothes me. All the noise keeps me from thinking about Andrew but even so, every now and then he still finds his way into my mind.
"Elizabeth, is that you?" a familiar voice calls. "Hey," I greet Marie with a hug, "What are you doing out here alone?" she asks unsure and I shrug. "I met Andrew for coffee and decided to walk home, I don't live far." I smile,
"Babe, the cab is here." A tall red haired man approaches. "You know what; I'm actually just going to walk with Elizabeth to her house then take a cab from there. I don't want to leave her alone, not at this time. That is if it's okay with you?" She looks at me for approval and I nod.
They kiss goodbye and we head our way. "Is that your new boyfriend?" I tease, "Maybe..." She giggles, "What about you? Do you have a boyfriend?" I half smile and sigh, "I don't know." "What about Andrew? I've seen you two together and you do not look like friends." I shrug not answering.
"C'mon, spill." she hooks her arm around my elbow.
"I like him but..." "But what?" She softly nudges me, "Elizabeth, that guy is a fool for you. I barely see him anymore because he always wants to be with you and I'm his best friend." Her words make my insides shift and my lips curl into a smile from ear to ear, "Like I said, I like him but I don't know."
"But nothing. He likes you and you like him. What else do you need?" My mind goes wild with unwanted thoughts of the last time I let myself love someone else. When it comes to love, I fall too deep and when all is done, I'm left standing alone. Lost and disconcerted.

Andrew's POV
I've been sitting in front of this man for a couple of minutes. Neither of us has bothered to say a word. It confuses me because all this time he's been trying to talk to me, yet he sits in total silence.
With all the avoiding I haven't really had the chance to observe him. He wears a black two piece suit with a bright white shirt, all tied up with a black tie. I don't know anything about this man simply that he lives somewhere else than New York. The only time I tried looking for him was when I was nine. Being so young and out of resources I gave up and never bothered to do it again.
I clear my throat and look at my watch, almost 10 o'clock.
"Although the conversation is delightful, I'm tired and I have to ask you to leave." I casually say and without hesitation he stands up. "It was nice seeing you son." He quickly leaves leaving me uncertain of what just happened.
. . .
I don't have a clue what's happening with Ryan at his house but he's staying another night. Having him over doesn't bother me but, I can't help but wonder if something's wrong. Throughout the night he wore a troubled look.
Not going home, staying over the whole day and sleeping over worries me.
"Ryan," I call, he's sitting at my desk on the computer. He raises his chin paying no attention to me.
"What are you doing?" he shakes his head waving me off. "How was the talk your with dad? You were up there for a good half hour."
I honestly don't know how to answer that question. We just sat there in silence but in that silence, it felt like so much was said.
On a couple of occasions we shared glances and while I do the impossible to get away from him, I was glad he was there. It gives me relief knowing that my dad is out there and he wants to know me. However, I don't know if I'm ready to let him in my life.

It's the time we've all been waiting for. Although a long time was waited we're finally going to make our way to Boston. Drake is the most excited of all and I didn't expect anything less. He's been planning this trip awhile now and it's going to be great. We're taking two cars, Marie is driving Drake's with Elizabeth, Fay & Aleah and I'm taking mine with Ryan and Drake. We all met at my house to go over everything.
"Alright everyone has everyone's number?" Everyone checks their phones and nods. "Okay we're ready. If anything happens call us." I say then we all head to our cars. I wait until the girls pull off to follow. "You don't think she'll ruin my car right?" I laugh at Drake. "She knows how to drive just fine, don't worry." Laughing, Ryan and I reassure him but it's useless. I follow Marie as she turns on 1st avenue; this is going to be long car ride.
A couple minutes go by and both Drake and Ryan get busy with their phones until Drake starts changing our destination on the cars GPS. "What are you doing?" I ask, "We're just going to pick up a friend." I redirect myself and keep going straight instead of turning to FDR Dr. I then look at the address Drake typed and it's a hotel, The Pierre.
. . .
About fifteen minutes later I'm parking near the hotel. "Who are we picking up?" Ryan asks. "It's a somewhat friend of mine. I met him a few days ago, there he is." Drake points out a guy in a black jacket. "He looks like a douche," Ryan comments and I chuckle. "Nah he's cool." Drake says then honks to catch his attention. The guy slowly jogs towards our car and get's in.
"Hey man what's up?" Drake greets him. "I'm alright, sorry for letting you know at the last minute."
"It's fine we don't mind right Drew?" I quickly glance at Drake; he never calls me 'Drew' but I nod anyways. "Guys this is Will. Will these are Andrew & Ryan." I greet him with my knuckles then turn on the car.
"What made you change your mind?" Drake asks the guy. "My dad told me he was meeting someone and then after we would leave but he changed his mind." I give the guy a few glimpses through my mirrors and he looks familiar. "Will, do I know you from somewhere?" I ask. "I don't think so, have you been to LA?" I shake my head. "Then no, this is my first time in NYC."
I don't bother him anymore but I keep thinking back to whom could he remind me and the only person I can think of is Marcus.
