Chapter 26

As Mrs. Wallace pulled up to my apartment complex my heart filled with sadness. I looked over the parking lot and seen my truck and Jordan's truck parked next to each other. I got out the car and slowly made my way over to them. The doors was locked but I could see the blood stains on the seat from when I touched the car trying to get my phone to call for help after holding Jordan's bloody body.

It's like my chest got so heavy after seeing this. My eyes filled with water and I wanted to cry so bad. I heard my name being called so I turned around wiping the fallen tears that did fall from my eyes. My sister was holding her arms out running to me hugging me.

I ran to her and hugged her back. She held me so tight and we both shared happy tears. Her huge belly was poking me so our hug didn't last long. "Hiiiii.!" She screamed in excitement.

Hiiii.! How are you.?! I smiled hugging her once more. "Where's Janae and Jayden.?"

Nae is with Darrius and Jayden is at work. He wanted to be here to surprise you but he's on a double buttttt you know he sends his love.

I have to get back to the office Promise but here is my card with my number and email on it. If you have any questions concerns or anything please give me a call. Mrs. Wallace said coming over to us.

Mrs Wallace can I please see my daughter.?

She took a deep breath and smiled. "I'll have Kash bring her over for a while.!"

Thank you so much thank you.! I pled. I gave her a small hug and she smiled letting me go. She got into her car and drove off.

Oh my god that's amazing.! Jas squealed in excitement.

I know. But I have to do something....did you bring your keys down.

Yeah why.?

Can you drive me somewhere?

Yeah sure. Now? You don't wanna go in the house first.?

No this is important.!

Okay. She said as she started walking over to her car. I got into the passenger seat and she pulled off. The car ride was mostly silent....Maybe because I had so much on my mind right now. All I wanted was to get my daughter back and be a great mom. It hurts knowing I missed these couple months of her life.

Jas pulled into the cemetery and I started to get that feeling again. She knew exactly where to go. She stopped the car and sighed a bit. "He's buried right over there.!" She said pointing to the grave sight. I got out the car with my eyes fixed only at the direction she pointed in.

I walked over to the grave sight and his head stone was clear as day. With his name on it, a picture of him, his date of birth and his departing day. I fell to my knees and my world came crushing down. I screamed so loud as every tear dropped from my eyes. My hands gripped the grass as if I was holding on to him.

I never got to tell you I'm sorry for your loss Promise.! Jas said in tears as she stood over me hugging my back as I cried harder.

My heart was in so much pain and I felt like I was watching him die all over again. I screamed louder and louder breaking down crying. I never in life imagined being at this point in life. My soul begged for him. My heart was crushed into tiny pieces he could only fix.

I don't know what kinda pain your going through Promise but just talk to him he hear you.! You know that boy loved you and Nova'Rain to death.! He did any and everything for y'all.! Just talk to him....I'll give y'all a minute. Jas said kissing my cheek and getting up.

I'm sorry baby.! I'm not strong like you.! I can't do this.! I can't raise Nova by myself I can't do it.! Why did you leave me.?!!! I screamed. You said you would never leave me.!!! You loved me....now who's going to love me.?! Now who's going to protect me and Nova.? Nova needs her daddy.! Baby come back to me Jordan come back.!!!!

Heyy, I thought I might find you here.! I heard a male voice from behind me as I sobbed and cried. "It's okay to cry Promise.! Look I don't know y'all story but I know it's hard to lose the person you was in love with.!" I didn't pay him any attention but he wrapped his arms around me and I could smell the cologne that Jordan use to wear. If this was his way of telling me he will always be here with me he has a funny way of showing it. Kash held me tight and let me cry into his arms as I stared at Jordan's grave.

Look your mommy.! Jas sang and smiled in a baby voice as she brought Nova down to my eye level. She placed a sleeping baby into my arms and I swear this felt so right. I didn't have Jordan here but I felt him here. I felt his arms around me and his embrace around me. His heart was beating through Nova and I could feel him. I kissed my daughter and held her tight wiping my eyes. Kash helped me to my feet and helped me walk to the car. He opened the door for me and I got in.

If you need another minute let me know.! He said sweetly.

I'm okay.! I said wiping my face and nodding my head.

He closed my door and got in on the driver side after hugging Jas. She followed us back to my house and Kash carried Novas car seat upstairs and into my apartment complex. Everything was literally how we left it. I wanted to break down again but I had to be strong this time. I went to the bathroom while Kash got Nova situated in her crib. Jas started to cook something and all I wanted to do was shower.

Thank you.! I smiled at Kash as I came to sit next to him in the living room.

No need to thank me.! He smiled. He reminded me of Jordan in a bunch of ways.

Yes I do. You took care of my daughter and not only that but you took care of me as well and ima always be greatful.!

It felt right like that's what I was suppose to do.! Your special Promise and I just wanna see you happy. I leaned in and kissed him on his cheek.
