The pale crescent moon was still shining like a silvery claw in the night sky .

It wasn't over yet .

The darkness still had the whole city at its clutches . The witching hour still continued.

Even so, the darkness was far more dense and suffocating for some...

Ilaria moved slightly. But feeling the harsh and painful consequence her body might have to suffer , she stopped.

Her senses becoming sharper by the minute. The fatigue wasn't the only thing that held her back. For a moment she tried to understand the pressure that obstructed her eyelids from opening, finally coming to the conclusion that it was a rather well bound blindfold.

The racket like sound that came as she tried to move her hands was supposely shackles but that was far from the worst sensation she felt after waking up.

She was forced to bite her dry lips to keep away from hissing.

Her enemy was way a lot more experienced with her . And that meant they never forgot about the lethal ability this woman welded.

It didn't take them  too much to stop  her from using those two death-dealing hands.

She couldn't see but it didn't take any sixth sense to understand how deep and  jagged lacerations was strewn all over her palm . Bandages wrapped tightly but it still was far from providing any sort of comfort.

Realising it was impossible to move her hands, she cursed under her breath.

And with all these happening , Ilaria stopped on her tracks.

There was something else.

No. Someone else.

It was sudden. It did not come to her slowly and was enough to petrify her for a moment.

There really was someone else.

And, though most unlikely, it was able to spark the tiniest amount of fear that resided in her.

Yes. She had felt anxious before. But it was different. Feeling that someone was beside you , yet being dead silent wasn't a good feeling.

Nor was it for her. The presence  was eerie and uncanny.

It would have been better if whoever that was would have spoken or moved at all. Or made any sign of living. But her chain of thought was broken all of a sudden.

"You woke up rather early than I expected."

Even though sightless, she turned her head towards the direction of the voice.

It wasn't from the odd presence she felt . She knew this voice well. She'll recognize it anywhere.

"Chiara..."

She could feel the other woman walking around. This irritated her. Not being able to see or the whole concept of being restrained.

The anger was building inside her but she resumed to be quiet. That presence was still making her uncomfortable and knowing someone had the audacity to look down on her wasn't a situation she wanted to worsen .

"Hmm? So calm suddenly? That's unlike you ."

The blonde was once again greeted with silence as she narrowed her eyes at the purple-head . Bloodied , exhausted and bind to a worn out pillar .

There was a strange sort of satisfaction flooding inside her because of the sight.
And honestly, it scared her. If anything, she was far more scared and unsure than her captive.
