Chapter Fifty-Four

Sometime later

"Daddy!" Chanwoo screamed forcing his hand out of Jungkook's hand and running towards the further end of the sidewalk. He pointed up at the building across the street. Jungkook looked up and awkwardly smiled as his eyes landed on himself advertising a new phone. He still wasn't used to that...he wasn't used to seeing himself on screens throughout Seoul advertising something popular or something that he made popular. He also wasn't used to walking into a normal store and having people run up to him or take his picture.

And he definitely wasn't used to the idea that his picture was probably on some stranger's phone thousands of miles away. That thought made him shudder.

But Jungkook was becoming a big deal. From the fact that he's dating the face of South Korea down the point that he acted the in the first gay movie with said boyfriend. People were talking about him nonstop to the point where Jungkook had to log out of his Twitter and Instagram because he was being continuously spammed with tags and comments from curious fans, supporting fans, angry fans of Taehyung, and so on. People commented in all types of languages which shocked the new celebrity beyond words as he couldn't believe this was his new life.

"It's you!" Chanwoo yelled as if Jungkook didn't know. "Taeji, look, it's Daddy!"

Taeji gave Chanwoo and uninterested stare as she barely glanced up at the building. She was used to seeing her dad everywhere so it didn't excite her the way it did for Chanwoo. She was begrudgingly tagging along with Jungkook to pick Hanbin up from his psychiatry appointment. He usually stayed but he had to pick Taeji up from school because some student released spiders in the halls.

"I know it's me, now come on Chan, get in the car, please," Jungkook said as he gestured towards the car. Chanwoo kept pointing with an excited expression before deciding he's had enough of seeing his daddy and climbing in the car. He strapped Chanwoo onto his booster seat before telling Taeji to do the same as she climbed into the passenger side.

His and Taeji's relationship improved in some ways. She was highly aware that Taehyung and Jungkook were dating and Yunah told her that Jungkook was going to be their new dad. Jungkook didn't know how Taeji felt about him taking that status in her life and he wasn't too eager to find out either. But Taeji has shown her attitude towards Jungkook and the man can confidently assume that the nine-year-old wasn't too bothered by the idea.

All the kids didn't seem bothered by the future blended family. Even Hanbin who didn't have any opinion on the matter and if he did, he didn't show it. That's what worried Jungkook. He knew his son knew how to suppress his feelings and lie. And the way Hanbin was obviously uncomfortable around Taehyung and Taeji also disturbed Jungkook because he didn't want Hanbin to be scared of the people he'd most likely spend the rest of his life around. Hanbin wasn't uncomfortable around Yunah as the young girl tended to force her way into anyone's life whether they liked it or not. Plus, she respected Hanbin more than Taeji did by keeping a respectful distance and attempting to include him anything - even though he always rejected the offer - so he wouldn't feel alone. Whereas Taeji ignored him and didn't like being in the same room as him so it seemed.

"I want chicken," Taeji said making Jungkook sigh as he heard Chanwoo gasp and yell, "ME TOO!"

"We're not eating out, I'll consider making some later today."

"I want it now," the nine-year-old stated, glaring at him.

"Well, that's not my problem."

He toned her out as she started throwing her tantrum. He had to hurry to make it to Hanbin's psychiatrist before the session stopped. He didn't want Hanbin freaking out because he left as Hanbin wasn't aware of Jungkook's absence.
