Chapter Twenty-One

Taehyung was dozing off while watching The Cloverfield Paradox when he heard banging on his front door. Grumbling, he sat up in his bed, pushing Yunah away who had somehow managed to sneak into his room. He threw his duvet off his legs and stood up, grabbing his robe as he walked towards his door.

The banging continued and Taehyung quickened his pace, cursing under his breath as he hastily tied his robe. He rushed down the staircase and looked out of his window.

"What the fuck..." He said aloud upon seeing two police cars. He sighed and opened his door just as one of the cops were getting ready to knock again.

"How may I help you?" He asked.

"Officer Hongbin," The brunette officer introduced, "and this is Officer Shi-Ah, we're here to ask you questions regarding two If your employees: Jeon Jungkook and Kang Minsun."

Taehyung hummed and nodded, allowing the two police officers inside his home. Usually, Taehyung would've offered them tea but it was late and he wasn't feeling it so he just sat down on the couch across from them and waited for them to interrogate him.

"How long have they worked for you?"

"Jungkook, only a few months, and Minsun...well, he doesn't work for me anymore but he did, he left my company to pursue acting because I didn't offer acting at the time—"

"You offer it now?"

"I'm trying to expand, yes. Anyway, Minsun left and he hasn't officially come back, he reached out to me and I accepted his offer, knowing he has always been a good model and his return will make fans excited."

"So he's under your company now?" Officer Shi-Ah asked.

"No, it was a one-time thing but we've kept in touch."

"Has he said anything about Jungkook, has he tried to contact Jungkook, has—"

"All I know is Minsun showed up uninvited at Jungkook's house and he and Jungkook aren't on good terms," Taehyung explained. "I had a talk with Minsun earlier today — or well, yesterday — and I confronted him about my suspensions and the camera footage of him digging through my files without him knowing and he didn't seem too pleased to know I was prying into his personal business."

"Can you show us the footage?" Officer Hongbin asked. Taehyung nodded and gestured for the two to follow him deeper into his house where his office was located. He unlocked his door and walked in, the lights immediately coming on. He decided to just use his iPad instead of turning his computer on. He showed them the same video that he showed Jungkook.

"I keep all my employees' files in that filing cabinet, I believe I have Minsun's updates files in there as well," Taehyung said, pointing at the filing cabinet in the corner of his office.

"Updated? I thought you said he's not working for you." The female officer said with a confused frown. Taehyung sighed.

"We talked about him coming back to my company but he turned it around and wanted a partnership and the only person I've collaborated with is Gucci and the only partner I have is, unfortunately, Kim Seokjin so I didn't want any more partners but I offered to collaborate to get his company a good following and he didn't like that idea. So we left that idea."

The two officers nodded at Taehyung's explanation as the man slid the iPad back to the designer. Taehyung used his chair to roll back to his filing cabinet, using the key on his key ring to unlock the drawer holding Minsun's information. He had completed the file when he was convinced Minsun was coming back to his company before the aforementioned man had dropped the bomb on him about partnering up. There was no way he was going to take partnership with someone else after being in this sucky situation with Kim Seokjin.
