Just realized that the Chanwoo and Hanbin are the same names as former iKon member and the maknae of iKon lmao. Completely coincidental.

Jungkook had one friend who stayed with him even when he dropped out, who offered his unconditional support when Jungkook found out he was pregnant, and despite everything, still saw him as a human rather than a mistake. Jungkook, however, hates talking to him. It's not like he hates the man but he just hates asking for things, it makes him seem needy and he can feel the pity rolling off his friend even when it's over the phone. His friend gives him that look which Jungkook reads as 'I told you so' or 'this is what you get'

Plus, the man has a family of his own and he shouldn't have to worry about Jungkook. He shouldn't have to worry whether or not Jungkook's kids have what they need and if Jungkook is okay but it's not his place. But maybe it's just Jungkook who isn't a good friend and can't take brotherly love.

"I just need you to watch him for an hour or two..." Jungkook said, "that's it."

"Really, Kook, it's not a big deal," Namjoon said, smiling so his deep dimples appeared. Chanwoo giggled and to poked them. "Chan likes it here, don't you Chan?"

"I don't want-"

"Kook, Jimin and I always told you that if you need help to ask us. Honestly, stop freaking out, I know how to take care of kids."

Namjoon had one child of his own who's a year older than Chanwoo. He married, divorced and then remarried the same person, Jimin, because of family complications and Jungkook hates to admit but he's jealous of their lives. Namjoon is three years older than Jungkook and they met when Jungkook was in 5th grade and Namjoon in 8th because Namjoon was part of the student council and he was "interviewing" Jungkook. They stayed together even when Namjoon went to high school and when he graduated. He's a forensic scientist and a professor while Jimin is a fitness trainer and owns his own gym and popular fitness series.

They make Jungkook feel inferior without even trying.

"I'll pay you when I-"

"Ewe," Namjoon laughed and shook his head. "Get out, go do that interview and get that job and get rich," he looked at Chanwoo, "say bye to Daddy."

"Bye, Bye, Daddy," Chanwoo said, waving. His voice was getting much better but it was evident there was still mucus clogging it up and making him wheeze.

"Bye, Bye, Chan."

Jungkook is always turned down when it comes to interviews and he doesn't know why. He managed to get an interview with a popular businessman about two months ago but the man never gave him a callback. He applied to Kim Taehyung's job two days ago and finally got the email from his assistant stating that he should be at a specific building by 10:00 A.M or else he'll be immediately dropped from the list. It was 8:12 A.M and he was only thirty minutes away. Punctuality is key.

Jungkook nervously chewed on his lip as he pulled up to a red light, still praying that he'd get the job. He had read over the job requirements many times but the whole site was pretty vague, it didn't say how he'd be paid either weekly or every two weeks or the estimated hours he'd be working but he figured he'd be told during the interview.

When he pulled into the building's parking lot, he realized he was only the third car. The applicant number had skyrocketed since Jungkook applied and it went from three to twenty-four. Seeing that there were only two cars minus his, he wondered if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

The brunette made sure he smelt good before looking in the scratched up mirror on his sun visor to make sure his hair looked okay. He didn't want to look like a bum. He climbed out and made his way towards the building, clutching the hem of his blazer tightly.
