"Daddy, I want Bin," Chanwoo said tiredly as he waddled to where Jungkook was sitting by the window. Jungkook was peaking out the window, holding onto the small sliver of hope that Hanbin would magically appear on the street. Jungkook closed the window and looked down at Chanwoo and sighed.

"I want him back too, baby," Jungkook said.

"He has to wead to me," Chanwoo continued.

"I can read to you," Jungkook offered, picking the three-year-old up and walking towards the kitchen. "After you eat and take a bath, I read whatever book you want."

"But Bin weads better."

"I'm sure he does, but right now I have to read to you, okay?"

He carried Chanwoo towards the kitchen and sat him down on the counter. He really didn't feel like cooking and if Chanwoo wasn't there, he probably wouldn't have eaten anything the entire day. He couldn't help but feel guilty. Hanbin was probably suffering under the hands of his own father while he and Chanwoo sat in the kitchen out of harm's way, eating dinner. Who knows if Hanbin has had anything to eat?

Jungkook was truly tired of crying but it hurt so bad not knowing where his six-year-old was or what was happening to him. He knew the boy was in the danger, but how much danger? Was he hurt or hurting? Hanbin was expecting him to do something, to find and save him like the superhero he saw Jungkook as, but Jungkook wasn't doing anything but sitting and hoping.

Jungkook just wanted his baby back.

Every second that ticked by, another weight was added to him and it was killing him. He was only standing strong - or attempting to do so - because he had Chanwoo to take care of and he needed to be there when Hanbin returned. If he returned.

Jungkook tightly shut his eyes and tried to rid his mind of the possibility of Hanbin not being found, but the thought stayed. What if the police didn't find Hanbin? Just the mere thought of actually losing his baby made his heart shatter. Hanbin would be stuck with that abusive psychopath and he'd grow up without love or happiness. Jungkook wasn't the best parent and even when he was struggling to make ends meet, he made sure his kids had what they needed. Plus, Hanbin has been through so much already so Jungkook tried his best to make sure every day was a good day for him. His kids never felt unloved or not cared for. But what now? Hanbin was expecting Jungkook to save him and help him and if he wasn't found, he'd go through life thinking Jungkook never truly loved him.

"Daddy, bubbles," Chanwoo suddenly said, jerking Jungkook out of his thoughts. He pointed at the pot on the oven top. It was boiling.

"Sorry, bub," Jungkook mumbled as he took the pot off the rings and poured in a ramen bowl. He put the plastic lid over it and placed chopsticks over the lid so it wouldn't flip back up. He waited about two minutes before adding the seasoning and sauce and stirring it before sitting the bowl on the table for Chanwoo.
