"How are you feeling?" Jungkook asked, reaching over and rubbing Hanbin's knee. The teen sat across from him, bouncing his knee as he bit his bottom lip and tried to control his breathing. Jungkook squeezed Hanbin's knee and tried to initiate eye contact but the obvious nervous boy actively avoided it. He opted for staring at his hands as he raked his fingers through Kkul's fur.

"You're going to be fine, I know you will," Jungkook said, grabbing Hanbin's face and turning his head. "You've been working hard for this day, I know you're going to make it through."

Before summer started, Hanbin had taken a test to go to eighth grade. He passed the test so well that the administration decided they wanted to send Hanbin to high school instead. Jungkook had wanted to start sending Hanbin to school during sixth grade so he would complete the three years of middle school, but that didn't work out for reasons similar to now. Hanbin has improved so much but he was still having social problems that doctors practically promised Jungkook the boy would never get past. But he's worked hard towards this day: the first day of school and Jungkook wasn't going to let all his hard work go down the drain.

"Stand up, come on," he said and Hanbin hesitantly obliged.

"Look at me." The teen looked at him and Jungkook frowned seeing the tears pricking his child's eyes. He used the pads of his thumbs to wipe away the tears before cupping his son's face and making him look him in the eye.

"I believe in you, Tae and the rest of your family believes in you. Now all you need to do is believe in yourself. Now calm down, take a deep breath, control yourself and get ready to step foot in that school. There's nothing you need to worry about, baby."

Hanbin searched Jungkook's eyes, hoping his dad would just say maybe next time and keep him out another year. But all he saw was determination which told him Jungkook wasn't going to back down this time. He looked over at Taehyung who gave him a warm smile and thumbs up.

"Taeji is going to look out for you," Taehyung said, "she'll be in two of your classes. You have notbing to worry about."

Taeji didn't bother looking at Hanbin but he knew what Taehyung said was true. Over time, his stepsister and he managed to develop some type of rocky relationship. She was still definitely an asshole to him, but she didn't like when other people were assholes to him which made him happy in some ways. He didn't mind her endless teasing because they stopped being serious.

"You're going to do great," Jungkook continued before pressing a kiss to his son's forehead and fixing his hair. "And I just have to attend a meeting today so you can always call or text me."

"Or me, I'm off all day," Taehyung offered before grabbing Chanwoo by the backpack before the boy could slip past him. Chanwoo has been bringing random stuff to school and had caused an explosion on the bus one time. He wasn't troublesome but he was slowly becoming a pyromaniac and it was quite worrisome for Taehyung and Jungkook.
