Matilda's POV

We ride our bikes through the town to where the lighthouse and the biggest cliffs are located. Also know as the west of the town.

This is the place where all the crazy surfers come. The waves are gigantic which is a plus side for us surfers but the west ocean is dangerous.

The water consists of a rocky reef bottom so if you make one mistake on your surf board and fall off well lets just say it won't be pretty. Also there is very little beach because the coastline instead of being sandy its rocky. The surfers have to be careful they get off the wave before they hit straight into the rocks.

There are numerous beaches over this area of town but people aren't allowed to swim at any of them because of the dangerous conditions, only the crazy surfers that don't mind if they nearly kill themselves surfing swim out here.

The beaches are mainly all small some only 10 meters long. The is only one big beach here which is called West Beach (very original). West Beach is also the only beach on the west side that I have been to.

My mother doesn't like me being out here as I am, and I quote 'an irresponsible young girl'. She probably thinks I would kill myself if I was over here but the thing is, why would she even care if I did? Not like she loves very much anyway.

We pull into the car park of West Beach, dropping our bikes onto the rocky ground not caring if we brake them.

"What are we doing here? It's dangerous.... I don't think we should be here. What if something happens.." I trail on

"Tilda, everything will be fine." Justin reassures me

"But how do you know" I reply worriedly

"Matilda I come out here all the time, I know what I'm doing and beside like I would ever let anything happen to you" he tells me

I've always been told at school not to let a guy or anyone really pressure you into anything, although the situations we talk about are like sex, drugs, smoking, drinking and stuff like that are all very different to this situation, but i can't help but feel the same rule applies.

"I-I, I don't know" I say unsure

"Tilda, please just trust me. I know you will love what I've got to show you"

That's when all my previous thoughts of doubt are swept out of my mind and excitement fills its place.

"Okay" I sigh "lets go"

Justin takes my hand and starts leading me in the opposite direction of West Beach. Excited but confused as hell I follow him.

I don't know where we are going since the only place I know is West Beach but I remain silent, Justin knows what he's doing so I just allow him to drag me along.

He pulls me along the cliff top then into some bush. We walk on the tiny walking trail the thick bush on either side until Justin leads me off the walking trail and into the bush.

"Um Justin...shouldn't we stick to the trail" I say worried

"Relax, I know where I'm going" he says

I sigh and continue being practically dragged by Justin.

*****

After about 10 minutes of walking in the bush, we walk into a small opening. The bush breaks away circling around us.

The view is breath taking, we are now standing on the edge of the bush looking out over the crystal blue water.

The waves are huge on the distance which frightens me but we are safe on the cliff top.
