Matildas POV

I wake to a banging noise that i cant quite register. The banging continues until I open my eyes.

I turn so i am now laying on my back. I rub my warm hands of my sleepy eyes.

The banging continues.

What the hell is it. I sit in my bed searching around my room.

Nothing.

My eyes reach the window and I see a dark figure standing outside my window. Then another behind them.

What the hell is anyone doing here it's still dark! Then the wild thought that has probably crossed the mind of every living person came to my head.

What is there's a murder or a robber standing outside waiting to kill me or kidnap me!?

I started to panic.

'Get a grip Tilda you're being dramatic' I mentally tell myself

I slip out of bed. Using all the control and bravery I slowly make my way to the window. Honestly I'm scarred, I don't want to die. My heart is beating rapidly in my chest.

I place my hands over the bottom of the window. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. And with that I quickly pull the window up and pin myself against the wall.

The noise that startles my next is laughter. And I already know who it belongs to.

I step out from the wall and in front of the open window with my arms crossed.

"Eliza Louise McAllen you gave me a heart attack!" I exclaim

She cant reply because she is to busy rolling on the grass in fits of laughter. That's when I see Justin standing there laughing to himself.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY!" I whinge looking at Justin

"It kinda is" Justin replies still laughing a little.

"I thought you guys were murders or something!"

Then I realise how ridiculous it really does sound and begin to laugh a little too.

"Anyway Matilda get ready we're all going to hit the beach for your first training session"

I totally forgot all about my deal with Justin! With all the things that's happened I completely forgot about how we agreed that I would do the Roxy Pro comp here in Harrton bay if Justin coached me.

Once I was ready I went to climb out the window. It wasn't all that difficult because my house wasn't two story, but it was on top on a mound which was probably tertiary sand dune.

I dropped all my gear to the grass. I was wearing my red bikini that has white dots on it. The morning was freezing so I had my oversized grey Hurley jumper over the top.

I climbed out the window grabbed my board and we left to hit the beach.

****

Once we got to the beach Justin makes us, us being Eliza and myself do sprints up and down the beach. Eliza had decided that she would tag along so I didn't have to train alone and because she wanted to he ready for the competition herself.

After the sprints we have to do a circuit of push-ups, sit-ups and other things that will build up or muscle strength.

Soon after, we hit the water. Justin makes us paddle 800 meters down the beach so we ended up at Toms surf school.

"I haven't seen Tom in ages!" Eliza exclaims as we approached the beach.

Once we see Tom from a distance we automatically decide its time for a break in our training.
