MATILDA'S POV
As soon as Eliza and I had stepped foot on the beach we were immediately swarmed by stylist and were rushed into one of the many tents.
"Hello girls I'm Dave the photographer. Today I thought first up we could do some in the water action shots. So your hair will be wet for the rest of the photos." He tells us
After We've shown our consent forms from our parents (dad signed mine of course) we were sent to another tent where we met the costume designer Elle. There really wasn't much of a clothing range considering it was a beach shoot so there was really just bikinis and other bathers with a few dresses added to the mix.
Eliza and I rushed to the bikini rack admiring all the expensive swimwear brands that we could never afford.
After looking through the bikinis we moved on to rash tops. My own rash top was a actually quite expensive it's self but these here were the best of the best.
"TILDS ELAINE BEACHLEY WORE THIS IN THAT LAST COMP OMG!" Yep there goes Eliza fangirling as per usual.
But I can see where she's coming from. Elaine Beachley only one words describe her: LEGEND!
soon enough we are ordered to get dressed into whatever we like so of course Eliza wears the 'Elaine Beachley rash top' as Eliza calls it, even though its not actually the original top she wore.
Whereas I put on and bright yellow bikini with a plain long sleeve black rash top over it. We have are hair down, I don't usually wear it down when I surf because its too long and gets in the way but it looks better for the photos so I wear it down.
The shoot goes reasonably fast. First we went out surfing and they took some action shots, we had to come in at times for a costume change.
After the action they took individual photos with of course numerous clothing changes.
For my individual photos some were of me standing hold in my board with my back to the camera. In some of them I had to turn my head back so I was looking at the camera.
I also had photos of just walking in the sand, sitting on some rocks, laying on the sand and even just sitting in the shallow water on my board.
After my individual shots the others had their own as the rest of us got ready for the next lot of photos.
I walked into the clothing tent, there was three other young girls standing looking through the endless racks of bikinis.
They were all really tan and all had dark hair. One of the girls turned around with a bikini in her hand ready to get changed.
"Oh hey you must be one of the other new girls, I'm Hannah and this is Sasha and Kim" one of the girls spoke, well she seemed friendly.
"Hey I'm Matilda" I smiled as I greeted them
I spent a while talking to the three girls. I discovered that Eliza and myself were not the only ones who were having a shoot today.
These girls already had a contract with ripcurl an had been in a couple shoots before. They were having their newest shoot after ours.
We were just finishing swapping our phone numbers when Eliza popped her head in the tent.
"Matilda...oh heeeey" she said as she saw the other girls
"I'm Eliza and you are?"
The girls talking quickly before someone yelled at us to hurry for our next lot of photos.
Our next photos were together, just Eliza and myself. After taking some with the two of us Bethany and Alana joined in.
The photoshoot went for most of the day but I felt as if it went really fast.
