The Unexpected

Bed Rest

Magnolia hadn't left her room, let alone her bed in two weeks. She couldn't cry anymore and everything had fallen apart. Her whole world had come crashing down. She thought she had kept the secret for a good reason and she did because in the end Draco didn't want to be apart of the baby's life. 

Magnolia looked down at her stomach and laid her hand on it. Magnolia rubbed her stomach and sighed. "I miss him, bean. I know I shouldn't but I do," At that moment Magnolia felt Bean move as if she was reassuring her that she was there. That Magnolia would always have her daughter. Magnolia smiled and rubbed her stomach again. "I can't wait for you to get here," Magnolia whispered. "Maybe your dad will come around by then. Who knows." Magnolia added. 

The door opened and Magnolia looked up as Hermione walked in. Her world had changed to lately. Ron had completely forgotten about her and was seeing Lavender Brown. Magnolia sat up and held her arms out. "Come her, hun." She whispered. Hermione walked over to the bed and climbed in. Magnolia wrapped her arms around her and Hermione buried her face into her shoulder as she sobbed. Magnolia nodded. "There, there. It's alright." 

Hermione pulled away. "I like him so much but all he does is snog her. It's bloody disgusting!" Magnolia nodded. "I know. It makes me want to barf." Hermione pulled away. "Here I am complaining to you about my life but you're depressed." Magnolia pulled away. "Excuse me?" She whispered. "I'm not depressed!" Hermione raised her brow. "Mags, you haven't left your dorm in two and a half weeks." Magnolia crossed her arms over her chest. "Okay and I'm not depressed, I'm just....avoiding someone." 

Hermione sat up. "Who? Who are you avoiding? Is there a boy?" Magnolia sighed. "Mione," Magnolia started. "Fred isn't the father of the baby." Hermione's jaw dropped. "What!? Does he know that?" Magnolia nodded. "Me and Fred have never slept together. I've only had sex with two people." Hermione nodded. "Yes, Theo and George." Magnolia shook her head. "No. I've never slept with Theo." Hermione's brows furrowed. "What?" 

Magnolia took a deep breath. "I told you about how I cheated on Theo." Magnolia nodded. "Yes, with George." Magnolia shook her head. "No. I slept with someone else before George." Hermione shrugged. "Okay but that was two years ago I don't see why-""Because we started dating after me and Theo broke things off." Hermione's eyes widened. "Merlin, Mags. Who is it?" Magnolia bit her lip. "Malfoy." She whispered. 

Hermione's eyes looked like they were going to fall out of her head. "What?" Magnolia nodded. "Yeah. That uh, that was a thing." Hermione shook her head. "Th-This is unbelievable." Magnolia nodded. "Take your time." 

Hermione looked up at her. "Why are you just now avoiding him?" Magnolia sighed. "Because I just now told him." Magnolia shook her head. "Oh no, no, no." Magnolia sighed. "Yeah. I messed up." Hermione looked up and bit her lip, not sure if she should tell Magnolia the latest bit of Hogwarts gossip. 

Magnolia's brows furrowed. "What? What is it you want to say?" Hermione sighed. "Draco's dating Astoria Greengrass. Magnolia shook her head and ran her hand through her hair. She scoffed. "No," Magnolia looked over at Hermione. "He wouldn't. It's probably just a rumor." Hermione sighed. "You being pregnant started as a rumor too." Magnolia shook her head. "I can't believe him." Hermione nodded. "Yeah. It just started though," Hermione grabbed Magnolia's hand and squeezed it. 

"I'm sure he'll come around." Hermione whispered. Magnolia wanted to believe it but she knew she shouldn't have. "No. He won't." Magnolia shook her  head. "As much as I want him to. He won't. Draco won't accept responsibility." Hermione shrugged. "There's always a chance." Magnolia shook her head. "No. Not with him. As much as I want it. Not with him." 

Magnolia looked down at her lap and sighed. "I should probably go to class." Hermione nodded. "I did your work for you, we told the teachers that you were feeling especially nauseous this week." Magnolia smiled. "Thanks, Mione." Hermione smiled. "No problem. You should head to class if you want to make it in time. It's fourth period." Magnolia stood up and nodded. Her uniform hadn't fit her anymore and she was already wearing maternity clothes...well if you counted leggings and a hoodie as maternity clothes.
