Magnolia laid on one of the beds in the hospital wing. She was staring at the doors, hoping Draco would walk through them. Madam Pomfrey looked down at Magnolia, holding her wand in hand. "Ready to start dear?" Magnolia kept her eyes trained one the door. "One more minute please." Madam Pomfrey nodded and dropped her hand to her side.

Magnolia bit her lip nervously as she stared at the door. Magnolia nodded and looked up at Madam Pomfrey. "He's not coming." She whispered. Madam Pomfrey nodded and cast the spell to show the fetus.

Draco was pacing back and forth in his dorm room. Blaise sat on his bed behind him. "Should I go?" Draco asked. Blaise nodded. "Yes, I think you should go. I think you should stop being a pussy and walk out that door and to the hospital wing." Draco rubbed the back of his neck. He stopped pacing and looked over at Blaise. "Are you sure? She might hate me still." Blaise shrugged. "I don't think she'd be giving you this chance if she hated you." Draco nodded. "Maybe you're right but say you're wrong and she's only doing it for the kid." Blaise sighed. "Either way you should go. It's not about the her. It's about the kid."

Draco nodded. "Right, right. It's weird, Blaise. I want to be mad at her but last week in class she did this really cute thing and I couldn't help but smile. It was adorable." Blaise raised his brow. "What'd she do?" Draco beamed thinking back to it. "She was talking to her bump in the middle of class, telling the baby not to kick her. She didn't care if she looked like a crazy person. She just did it." Blaise nodded. "I don't find it adorable but then again you love the girl so makes sense."

Draco rolled his eyes. "I need to get down there." Blaise nodded. "What are you waiting for pretty boy? Go!" Draco nodded and turned to run from the room. He ran through the corridors and straight for the infirmary. Draco threw the doors open, startling Madam Pomfrey. She looked up at him with a hand over her heart. "You gave me a heart attack."

Draco's brow furrowed as his eyes scanned over the room. "Where's Magnolia?" He asked. Madam Pomfrey tilted her head. "I'm afraid you missed her, dear." Draco's shoulder's slumped and he shook his head. "No. I was suppose to be there. I was suppose to be at the appointment. She was giving me a second chance." Madam Pomfrey nodded. "She just left. I'm sure if you hurried you can catch up to her before the train leaves." Draco nodded and ran from the infirmary.

Magnolia stared out the train window as students continued to board. She was disappointed that Draco hadn't gone to the appointment but Magnolia would be lying if she said she hadn't expected it. Magnolia turned her head away from the window and laid it against the glass.

Draco ran down to the translation as steam billowed out of the engine and it chugged forward. Draco shook his head. "No, no, no!" Draco shouted. He felt his eyes brim with tears as he ran his hands through his hair.

He knew Magnolia had said she'd give him more chances but Draco knew there was no way she'd go through with that. There was no such thing as third chances.

Magnolia stepped off the train and smiled when she saw Remus and Sirius. They were in a deep conversation. Magnolia could see that. Sirius' brows were furrowed as he was explaining something to Remus. Remus had a sad look on his face.

Magnolia tilted her head and walked over to them. "We can't tell them. It'll break her." Sirius whispered. "Can't tell who what?" Magnolia asked. Remus' and Sirius' heads snapped towards her. "Hey, kid." Sirius said forcing a smile onto his face. Sirius pulled her into a hug and Magnolia hugged him back. Magnolia gave Remus a questioning look but he just stared at the ground. Magnolia pulled away from the hug and looked between the two.

"What's going on?" She asked. Remus sighed and looked to Sirius. "We have to tell her, Sirius." Sirius nodded. "I know but..." Remus shook his head. "We have too." Sirius looked down at Magnolia. "We lost the baby." He whispered. Magnolia's hands flew to her mouth.

"Oh, merlin no," Her eyes teared up. "I'm so sorry you two. Maybe I shouldn't stay. Maybe I should stay with the Weasleys." Remus shook his head. "No, Mags. It's fine. We want you to stay with us." Magnolia's brows knitted together. "Are you sure?" Remus gave her a reassuring smile. "We're positive. Come on. Let's go get some dinner. We past this cute little cafe on the way here."

Magnolia nodded and she followed the couple out to their car. Harry wanted to stay with the Weasleys but Magnolia wanted some time with her uncles so they went their separate ways for the holidays until Christmas and New Years.

They walked into the small cafe and sat down. Magnolia was stirring her hot cocoa. Her nose was slightly red along with the tips of her ears due to the cold. "So how long ago did it happen?" Remus sighed. "Last month. We're going to try again but um with a different surrogate. We think there was something wrong with her genes that caused her to miscarry." Magnolia nodded. "That's good. That you guys are trying again." Remus nodded. "Mhmm," He grabbed Sirius' hand. "We just really want a baby." Magnolia nodded. "I understand that. You two would be the perfect parents."

Sirius nodded. "Well maybe. How's school been? Is everything alright? How are you feeling lately?" Magnolia pushed a strand of hair behind her hair. "Well, Uncle Paddy." Sirius leaned back in his chair. "Oh this is going to be good." Magnolia only called him uncle paddy in serious situations.

"Draco knows." Remus and Sirius shared a look. "He what now?" Remus asked. Magnolia sighed. "He knows that the baby's his and he's not too happy." Magnolia nodded. Remus took a deep breath. "How did he find out?" He asked. Magnolia stared into her drink. "I told him. It was quite funny how it happened actually." Sirius raised his brow. "And how is that?" Magnolia sighed. "Well," She shifted in her chair. "Everyone was busy that day, with their own thing, so I was bored and I decided to build the baby bassinet that Fred and George got me. It only cured some of the boredom," Remus nodded, wanting to hear more fo the story while Sirius sat there impatiently, wanting the story to end. "Half way through building it there was a knock on the door, I didn't ask who it was, I just told them to come in."

Sirius' eyes widened. "What if it was a death eater?" Magnolia raised her brow. "A death eater in Hogwarts? Real funny, Sirius. Like that would happen," Magnolia turned back to face Remus. "Anyways, it was Draco. The day before he had said something unforgivable in class and he was coming to apology," Magnolia threw her head back. "Oh, and he bought the most marvelous pumpkin pasties," Thinking about them made Magnolia's mouth watered. "Anyways he went to go leave but I asked him to stay and he told me some things." Sirius raised his brow. "What things did he tell you?" Magnolia sighed. "That he stilled loved me and he missed me." Sirius shook his head.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, since when did he love you?" Sirius asked. Magnolia bit her lip. "Since fourth year when we got together." Sirius' jaw dropped. He turned to Remus. "Did you know about this?" Remus shook his head as he stared at Magnolia in shock.

Magnolia's eyes brimmed with tears. "I thought he'd want to know. He said all these things about how we couldn't be together because the baby wasn't his so I told him but....he wasn't happy." Remus' shoulder dropped. "Oh, Mags." The tears fell from Magnolia's eyes, landing on her lap, while she fiddled with her fingers. "I miss him so damn much," Magnolia whispered. "I just want him back." Her body shook with sobs as Remus stood up. He pulled Magnolia into a hug and looked over at Sirius. "I think we should get going, Pads." Sirius nodded and stood up. He dropped a tip on the table. "I'll pay, you take her to the car."

Sirius stood up and walked away and Remus bent down in front of Magnolia. "Come on, Mags. Let's go home." Magnolia nodded and stood up. She grabbed the hot cocoa travel mug and Remus led her outside. Remus slid into the backseat with her.

"I think he'll come around, Mags." Remus whispered as he soothed her hair down. Magnolia shook her head. "But what if he doesn't and I have to raise this baby alone." Remus brushed some of her hair behind her ear. "Fred said he'd help you." Magnolia looked up at Remus and he saw the hurt in her eyes. "I don't want Fred to help me. I want him." She knew it sounded selfish but that was the truth. She wanted to raise this baby with Draco. Isn't that why she told him?

Remus rubbed her back. "Just calm down. You don't want to work yourself up." Magnolia nodded as she sniffled.
