Magnolia stood in the kitchen, washing the dishes. She was humming as she went. Remus and Sirius had gone out for date day, as they called it, where they spent the entire day on a date. Fred was in the shower. He had spent the night last night after Magnolia woke up every time he went to leave which resulted in him staying.
Magnolia was scrubbing at a knife when she heard a board creak behind her. Magnolia spun around, knife in hand. "Malfoy!" She screeched. Draco threw his hands up. "Potter. I uh, I knocked but no one answered." Magnolia had her free hand over her heart. "That usually means no one's home. You scared the shit out of me. Draco nodded. "You were home. Sorry," He eyes glanced to the knife. "Could you put that down?" Magnolia looked at the knife and nodded. "Yeah sorry. I've sort of been on edge lately,"
Magnolia set the knife on the counter keeping her eyes on him. "What are you doing here, Draco?" Draco smiled at her using his first name. He hadn't completely lost her. "I wanted to say that I w-""What are you doing here, you bloody prick?" Malfoy turned around to see Fred Weasley with a towel wrapped around his waist. Draco stood straighter. "I could ask you the same thing, Weasley?"
Fred scoffed. "I'm picking up your mess," Fred crossed the kitchen to Magnolia and wrapped an arm around her waist. "You alright, love?" Magnolia nodded. Draco's heart broke. He had lost her. He looked down at the floor.
"Why did you come here, Draco?" Magnolia whispered. Draco looked up and made eye contact with her. Draco sighed. "I wanted to let you know that I don't want anyone other than Fred's family and the people you've already told to know the real blood of the baby." Magnolia nodded. "Of course." She whispered.
Fred raised his brow. "You couldn't have sent that in a letter?" He asked annoyed. Draco looked up at him. "I wanted to make sure the message was received." Fred scoffed. "Yeah, message received alright."
Draco's eyes fell on Magnolia's bump. He let out a sigh and turned to leave. Draco hoped that Magnolia would stop him because he was too much of a coward to stop himself but there never came a 'Wait, Draco.' or a 'Come back.' It was something else.
"Malfoy," Magnolia whispered. Draco turned around, making eye contact with the redhead. "It's not too late." She whispered. Draco's decision he had made yesterday was trying to claw itself out but his mouth had a different idea. "No, I wouldn't want to interrupt your game of house." With that Draco walked out of the kitchen.
Draco noticed a door slightly opened. From a far away glance he caught sight of a family tree and his name. Draco noticed a line going from him to the face of a baby. Draco shook his head and walked out. It may have been his baby but the way things were going, he wasn't going to be it's father.
Magnolia laid in the bathtub staring at the ceiling. She was biting her lip. Christmas Eve was tomorrow but instead of thinking about the gifts she still needed to buy she couldn't help but think about the black eye Draco was sporting at his visit earlier.
Magnolia knew where it had come from. Magnolia and Draco weren't just boyfriend and girlfriend. They had been best friends and had shared many moments together. Magnolia had remembered the time Draco had first told her about his father's beatings. He had been over at her house for the summer because the Dursley's had been on vacation and Harry had decided to stay at the Weasley's while they were gone.
Draco looked around the house in disgust. "I can't believe I let you talk me into coming here. It's disgusting." Magnolia chuckled. "It's not that bad." Draco's brows knitted together. "It's terribly small. You're coming to my house next time." Draco whispered as he placed his hands on Magnolia's waist, still looking around the house in disgust.
Magnolia wrapped her arms around Draco's neck. "And what exactly would your parents say about that?" Draco looked down at her. His face softening. "They're going to Paris for a month. I'm sure these horrid muggles won't miss you." Magnolia leaned forward, stopping an inch from Draco's lips. "Hmm, they won't." She whispered before connecting their lips.
Draco smiled into the kiss. "Well, what are we waiting for. Show me to your room. I bet it's girly and pink and maybe there's even a poster of me on the wall." Magnolia playfully hit his chest. "No, not at all. It's Han Solo on my wall." Draco raised his brow. "Who in the bloody hell is Han Solo?"
Magnolia grinned. "A hot muggle from a galaxy far far away." Draco raised his brow. "That makes no sense but whatever." Magnolia chuckled. "Come on." Magnolia grabbed Draco's hand and pulled him upstairs. Draco playfully smacked Magnolia's ass and she turned around. "Draco!" She gasped. Draco grinned at her. "I couldn't help myself."
Draco and Magnolia walked into her room and Draco looked around. "This is your room? It's terribly tiny." Magnolia shrugged. "Eh. It was either this or the cupboard under the stairs." Draco chuckled and Magnolia looked up at him. Draco's face fell. "Wait you're serious?" Magnolia nodded. Draco cupped her cheeks. "I'm giving you your own room at the many. It'll be three times the size of this room." Magnolia rolled her eyes. "Stop it you oaf."
Magnolia dragged Draco over to her bed and sat down. Draco fell onto the bed and looked over at Magnolia. "What do you wanna do?" Draco asked. Magnolia bit her lip. "Uh, maybe..." Magnolia trailed off and wiggled her brows. Draco grinned. "Oh yes."
He effortlessly lifted Magnolia up and placed her on his lap. Magnolia threw her head back and laughed, causing Draco to crack a smile. Magnolia looked up at Draco. Her brown eyes growing dark. She pushed Draco's chest and he fell back onto the bed. Magnolia leaned down and pressed a kiss to Draco's lips. Draco's hands gripped Magnolia's hips as she grinded against him.
Magnolia's hands ran over Draco's chest. Her fingertips brushed against a bruise and Draco pulled away, wincing. Magnolia sat up. "Are you okay?" She whispered. Draco nodded. "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." Draco went to lean forward again but Magnolia placed a hand on his chest. Draco sighed as Magnolia started to fumble with the buttons of his shirt. "Mags," He whispered. "You don't need to do this."
Magnolia shook her head, not paying attention. She was determined to get the shirt off. Magnolia gasped when she saw the bruise on Draco's rib. "Draco," she started. "What happened?" Her eyes drifted up to Draco's and he sighed. He used his thumbs to rub circles on Magnolia's lower back. "It's nothing."
Magnolia nodded. "It's definitely not nothing. That looks terrible," Draco sighed. His eyes fell on a loose string on Magnolia's shirt. "I'm not giving up until you tell me what happened." Magnolia crossed her arms over her chest. Draco looked up at her, his eyes watering. "You promise you won't leave me? You promise you won't realize how broken I am and just go?" Magnolia nodded. She uncrossed her arms and cupped Draco's cheeks, making sure he held eye contact with her. "Never."
Draco took a deep breath. "My dad. He-he hit me." Magnolia pulled Draco into a hug. She squeezed him gently. "It's okay," She whispered. Tears splashed onto the fabric of Magnolia's t-shirt. "It's okay, baby." Magnolia rubbed his back as Draco cried into her. "How long?" She whispered, finally breaking the silence.
Draco pulled her closer. "As long as I could remember." Magnolia pulled away and gently grabbed Draco's chin. "That doesn't make you broken, Draco, and I would never leave you because of that." Draco nodded. "Promise me you'll never leave." Magnolia smiled. "I promise. I'm going to break up with Theo soon and after that I will never ever leave you." Magnolia whispered, sternly.
Draco leaned forward and pecked her lips. "I love you," Draco whispered as he pulled away. Magnolia and Draco were both shocked. It had just slipped out. "I'm so sorry, I did-""I love you too," Magnolia leaned forward and kissed him again. Magnolia pulled away. "We can lay here and cuddle or we can go nice and slow." She whispered, tracing her finger over Draco's collarbone.
Draco moved his hands to Magnolia's thighs. "Can we cuddle?" Magnolia nodded. "Of course."
Magnolia's lip quivered as she started up at the ceiling. She had gotten Draco to promise the same thing but promises can be broken easily. Magnolia looked down at her bump. She rubbed her hand over it. "It's alright to be broken, bean. It's okay to not be okay." She whispered.
