"I can explain." She whispered. Draco nodded. "I'm waiting." He whispered. Dahlia took a deep breath. "James Potter is my father." Draco shook his head. "Impossible. He's dead." Dahlia shook her head. "No. Everyone thinks he's dead." Draco's brows knitted together. "Bu-No, impossible. Who's your mum?" Dahlia sighed. "Lily Evans." Draco froze as he started at the fifth year. "But she-""No. They're both very much alive and in America."

Draco shook his head. "No, that's impossible. Voldemort killed them." Dahlia shook her head. "Dumbledore placed a protection spell on them that night and Voldemort broke in but they never died. Lily and James Potter sacrificed themselves for Harry and they didn't know about the spell. The love they generated that night saved Harry himself and Dumbledore believed that the only way Harry would reach his full potential and defeat the dark lord was if his parents were dead," Dahlia took a deep breath. "So he sent them to America, where they are to wait until Harry defeats the dark lord." Draco stared at her in shock.

He shook his head. "No, no. Then why are you here?" Dahlia sighed. "My father grew tired of knowing nothing that was going on here. Dumbledore claimed that it was too dangerous to stay in contact so he sent me to be his informant. To get to know Magnolia and Harry and tell him everything." Draco tensed. "Did you tell him that Mags is-""No! I would never tell him that over a letter and besides that's not for me to say." Draco nodded as his jaw clenched. "What have you told him?" Dahlia shrugged. "Things a father would want to know. I told him Magnolia's a keeper and she's a lot like him. That she's in Ravenclaw and looks exactly like mom and that she has a boyfriend." Draco tensed. "Did you tell them my name?" Dahlia looked up with knitted brows. "I don-""Did you tell them my name!" Dahlia nodded. "Yes, I don't see how that matters. I-""You idiot!" Draco shouted. Dahlia's face fell. "How is that a bad thing?"

Draco sighed and looked over at her. "Because the Malfoys, my family," Draco pointed at his chest. "And the Potters don't get along, whatsoever, so you did something very bad." Draco growled. Dahlia's eyes widened.

"You can't tell Magnolia. No one can know, Dra-""It's Malfoy." Draco sneered. Dahlia stared up at him in shock and Draco shook his head. "With my family's reputation, I assume they'll be here by morning." Dahlia's brows furrowed. "I don't see what's so bad about your family." Draco glared at her. "Of course you don't, you foolish little girl! You're not from here, you understand nothing!" Draco threw the letter onto the ground after crumbling it up. "Your father told you to stay out of the war but by being seen with me and Magnolia, you're already in it. No one's safe here." Draco turned and left with that.

Dahlia bent down and picked the letter up. She smoothed it out and sighed. Dahlia went straight up to her dorm. She grabbed her notepad and quill and dipped it in ink. Dahlia leaned onto the page and began writing.

Dear Father

I have been found out by someone, by Magnolia's boyfriend. I accidentally left your last letter their dorm. He's mean that's for sure but he said something about our families that I don't quite understand. About how the Malfoys and Potters have never liked each other.

It's weird, dad. He was nice to me at first and let me call him Draco but as soon as he found out he was a monster. I don't understand how someone so kind could be so mean. He and Magnolia are like you and mom, it doesn't make sense.

D-Malfoy told me that once you find out who Magnolia's boyfriend is, you'll come here but don't please. Whatever your reason is, you have nothing to worry about it's obvious Malfoy cares a lot about her and he's kind unless Magnolia is threatened then he turns into the monster.

I haven't yet befriended Harry. It's Hard, he's different from Magnolia and is never in one place plus he's always in trouble here at school. I assume it will be harder to be friends with Magnolia in a couple of weeks for...reasons but it's nothing to worry about and perhaps while she's busy I can befriend Harry. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

I hope mom's well and I can't wait for Liam to join me. Perhaps I won't be so alone that way. I'm dying to know what house he'd been in. So far you have three different children in three different houses, I wonder if Liam will be in the last house or he'll be a repeat. It's unsure really. I miss you all, lot's of love, Dahlia.

Dahlia left the letter to dry as the door opened. She looked up to see one of her dorm mates walk in. Dahlia gave her and smile but the girl didn't react. She just walked over to her bed and climbed under the sheets, going to bed. Dahlia tilted her head, seeing it was the middle of the day.

She shrugged it off and walked towards the Owlerly to send her letter.
