George landed outside St. Mungos with a pop. He ran inside, Magnolia still in his arms. "Help! I need help!" A nurse ran over. "What's wrong?" George looked down at Magnolia. "She was hit with the Cruciatas curse. I don't know how many times but she's seven months pregnant." The nurse pulled her wand out and pointed it at a chair. It transfigured into a gurney. "Set her down." George laid her on the gurney.
Her eyes were still shut. The nurse pushed the gurney towards the door. George went to follow her but the nurse turned around. "Sir, I need you to stay here." George froze. "B-b-but-""It's hospital policy." George nodded and the nurse pushed Magnolia away. George fell back into one of the chairs in the waiting room. He dropped his head into his hands and tangled his fingers into his hair.
The doors opened and George looked up. The rest of the family stood there. Harry and Fred hurried over. "Where is she?" Fred asked. George looked over at the doors they had taken Magnolia through. "They took her back." Fred looked angry. "Why didn't you go with her!" George looked up at Fred and stood up. "Because they wouldn't let me. I care about her to you know!" George looked Fred up and down. "A lot more than you think."
Remus walked over. "Whoa, we need to stay calm here for Magnolia," Remus shot at the two of them. "And the rest of us can't do that if you two are fighting the entire time!" Remus turned to Fred. "You realize that her brother is right there," Remus motioned to Harry before turning to George. "And me and Sirius have been there since day one! I do not want to hear about who in this waiting room cares about her more when she could be in there clinging to her and the baby's life. Understand?" Fred and George both nodded, they're gaze falling on the floor.
Remus turned around and walked back to Sirius. Sirius reached forward and rubbed his shoulder. "You alright, Moons?" Remus looked up at Sirius. "She won't be able to live with herself if she lost the baby." Sirius nodded. "I know. She'll be alright," Remus fell into Sirius' arms. Sirius rubbed his back. "She'll be alright. They'll both be alright." He whispered.
Draco was laying in bed with Astoria next to him. She was sound asleep. Draco looked over at her and sighed. She was pretty and Draco had liked her, maybe when he was twelve and thirteen, but then he had met Magnolia. She was no Magnolia and Draco loved Magnolia.
Draco threw the blanket back and stood up. He stood up and picked his pants up off the floor. Draco pulled them on. and picked his shirt up. He slipped the shirt on and did the buttons up.
Draco walked downstairs as the front door opened. He looked up to see his father, mother, and Aunt Bellatrix. Draco sighed. "How was the mission?" Draco asked. He hadn't known much information about it but he knew it was important to the dark army. His Aunt's face fell. "Unsuccessful, they all still breathe." Lucius shrugged. "Not all that unsuccessful. Potter's in the hospital."
Draco froze. "What?" He looked up at his father. Lucius grinned. "Your aunt hit that stupid Potter girl with the cruciatas curse. Didn't she faint Bella?" The grin reappeared on Bellatrix's face. "She did. What a pathetic little girl. As Potter's sister I thought she'd be stronger." Draco's entire world had collapsed. "Sh-she's in the hospital?"
Narcissa looked over at Draco with furrowed brows. She studied his face and she saw the glint of fear in Draco's eyes. Narcissa nodded. "Yes, Draco. How many times did you hit her with the curse Bella?" Bellatrix's grin widened. "At least three times before those pathetic Weasley's showed up. I wouldn't be surprised if she loses the baby."
Draco didn't know how he felt about the baby yet but he knew how he felt about Magnolia and Magnolia wouldn't be able to manage if she had lost the baby. Draco stood there frozen. He wasn't sure what to do. It was his mother's voice that broke him from his trance.
"Come, Draco. Why don't you stay for dinner, Bella?" Draco looked up. His parents would be in the dinning room and the Floo was in the foyer, that would leave it unguarded. "I-I'll be right th-there." Narcissa nodded. "Hurry, you don't want the food to get cold." Draco nodded. He waited for the three adults to disappear into the dining room before running to the foyer.
He grabbed a handful of Floo powder and stepped into the fireplace. "St. Mungos." Draco whispered. Draco felt himself squeezing through the fireplace. He stumbled out of one and looked around.
The building was starch white and smelled like bleach. He stood at the front of the hospital. Draco looked around but didn't see a single head of red or black hair. They must have taken Magnolia to the emergency room instead of the front entrance.
Draco ran over to the front desk. The receptionist looked up at him. "May I help you?" She asked. "Um, Is Magnolia Potter here?" The receptionist looked down at a notebook. She shook her head. "Sorry we don't have anyone by that name." Draco thought for a minute. "What about pregnant Jane does?" The receptionist sighed. She looked back down. "We have three." Draco nodded. "Um, the girl I'm looking for she has red hair and brown eyes. She's about seven or eight months pregnant." The woman nodded. "We have one that fits that description."
Draco let out a breath of relieve. "Is that baby okay?" He asked. The woman looked up. "I'm sorry but I can't give you that information unl-""I'm the child's father." Draco whispered. The women nodded. "Very well. I'll just call a doctor over and they'll take you up to he-""No, I don't want to see her, I just..."
The receptionist raised her brow. "You don't want to see her?" Draco bit his lip. "I-is she awake?" The receptionist sighed. "Sir, I don't have all the information but if I call a doctor over." Draco nodded. "Okay, do that." The receptionist nodded.
She picked a phone up and a few minutes later a women in a white coat appeared. Draco turned towards her as she walked over. "Are you Magnolia's doctor?" The doctor looked down at her chart. "If Magnolia is seven months pregnant with a little girl and has red hair and brown eyes." Draco nodded. "Yes. That's her." The doctor looked over at her. "Then yes, I'm her doctor." Draco let out a breath of relief before looking back at her. "Is the baby okay?" The doctors smile fell.
