Magnolia watched as Draco visibly tensed. "Wh-what?" Draco was sitting up now, staring at Magnolia in disbelief. "You-" Draco took a deep breath and shut his eyes as Magnolia propped up. "I asked you four times," Draco held up four fingers. "And every time you lied to me." Magnolia nodded. "I'm sorry." Draco shook his head. "No, no. Sorry doesn't fix this. Sorry doesn't it make it better that you are at least five months pregnant and you lied to me!" Draco had tears in his eyes. "I-I-I love you, Mags, and I told you we couldn't be together because the baby wasn't mine, and you just let me walk away?"
Magnolia's eyes fell on the bed as tears brimmed her eyes. Draco shook his head. "I can't believe you right now. I was willing to lay my whole happiness, my entire life, down for you and you were just going to let me walk away?" Draco was hurt. He loved Magnolia more than anything but hearing this, Draco wasn't so sure anymore. His heart ached.
"You told me it was Weasley's baby. What were you going to do when she was born looking like me!" Magnolia bit her lip and looked up. "I don't know, Malfoy! But can you blame me? You said she'd be in danger! That you couldn't raise her!" Draco scoffed. "That was before I knew! I didn't want to be dragged in to raise someone else's kid!" Magnolia's face fell. "It's not someone else's kid, it's my kid!" Magnolia stabbed her finger into her chest.
Draco shook his head. "She's our kid!" He growled. "Were you even going to tell me? Or was I suppose to find out on my own?" Magnolia looked up at him. "You said you couldn't be there for me or it, if it was yours!" Draco nodded and climbed off the bed. "I also said that I'd love it more than anything. I say a lot of things!" Magnolia nodded. "Yeah, I'm beginning to see that now," Magnolia looked down at her hands. "So which one is it, huh? Which one is the truth!?" Draco rolled his eyes.
"No, no you don't get to turn this around on me! You were the one who kept this a secret! You were the one who lied to me!" Magnolia pulled the blanket tighter to her chest. "Because you're a death eater!" Draco froze and Magnolia's face softened as she realized her words. "Draco." She whispered.
Draco scoffed and shook his head. "I thought I wasn't. I guess I don't know you huh? You're just feeding me lies," Draco walked over and picked his clothes up. He pulled his pants up and did his belt up. "I thought this mark," Draco violently motioned to it. "Didn't define me!" Draco pointed at his chest. "It doesn't." Magnolia cried. Draco snatched his shirt up. "Then why did you call me a death eater? Because you're always telling me I'm not one." Magnolia let out a sob. "Because I'm hormonal, Draco and we're arguing. I'm going to say things I don't mean."
Draco scoffed as he pulled his shirt on. "It sure sounded like you meant it." Magnolia stood up, wrapping the blanket around her. "I thought you wanted this! I thought you wanted a family with me!" Draco froze on his way to the door. He had said those things but he didn't mean now. He was sixteen. He couldn't raise a child, especially since the world was falling apart right now.
"Draco, please." Magnolia pleaded. Draco turned around and shook his head. "You lied to me," Draco voice cracked as tears streamed down his face. "I-I asked you so many times, Mags, and you lied to me. I can-I can't forgive you for this. I was tearing myself apart because I still loved you no matter how hard I tried when I knew there was no way for us to work after this but you lied to me and I did that for nothing." Magnolia's cheeks were already tear-stained. "Baby, please."
Draco shook his head. "I can't. I can't do this. I'm sixteen. My entire family are death eaters. We-I can't," Draco took a deep breath. "I can't be a father," Magnolia's face fell and her heart broke. Draco pulled the door open as he ran his hand through his hair. "Take care, Potter."
Draco stepped outside and Magnolia crumbled to the floor as soon as the door shut. She pulled her knees to her chest and sobbed loudly.
Draco fell apart as soon as he pulled the door shut. He had already been crying in the room but he had some control. The real crying happened when he left. Draco hurried down to his dorm, keeping his head down so no one saw his tears.
Draco made it to his dorm without anyone stopping him. Draco pushed the dorm door open to see Blaise and Theo sitting on their beds. They sat up when they saw Draco.
"What the hell, mate? What happened?" Blaise asked. Draco shook his head. "Magnolia lied," He whispered. Blaise stood up. "The baby's mine." He sobbed. Blaise walked over and pulled Draco into a hug. "It's okay, mate. You'll get through this. You'll be a good father." Draco pulled away from the hug and shook her head. "I told her I couldn't be. I-I-" Draco's lip quivered. "It's my baby. She lied to me for five months." Draco whispered. Blaise pulled him into another hug.
Theo scoffed. "I could have told you that." Blaise and Draco looked over at Theo. "What?" Draco asked. Theo nodded. "She told me herself. At the start of the school year," Theo leaned forward. "Almost two months ago." Draco's jaw clenched. "You're lying." Theo shook his head. "No. I did the math and asked her myself and she didn't deny it. Guess I finally got my backpack for you making my girlfriend cheat on me huh?"
Draco drew his wand from his pocket. "You made her cheat! You were flirting with other girls but she didn't see that." Draco shouted. Blaise leaned forward. "Draco, calm down. You don't need anymore trouble." Draco shook his head. "She wouldn't tell you." Theo nodded. "But she did, you can ask her yourself."
Draco shook his head. He dropped his wand. He really did love Magnolia and even after she had lied to him. He still did but he couldn't raise a baby. He couldn't make those sacrifices yet.
