Chapter Thirty Four

the whole proposal was depressing to her. he was unpredictable, she didn't knew what was he going to do, what will be his next move so she was always on the edge with him. after that horrible night he didn't made any move towards her:no calling to his cabin, no sex-ting her in the middle of the night and no lewd comments were passed at her but still she was careful and alert all the time. that whole week he rarely called her into his cabin and even if he called she didn't came alone there was always a colleague with her. she tried feeling contented but then she was scared as he was so unpredictable. 

and then one Thursday afternoon he called her in his cabin all alone, this time she knew something was up. something really wrong was going to happen. he said "sit down , there is something i want to talk to you about." for the first time she went in his cabin and he was being official. he was going through some files hastily and the taking urgent calls on his Bluetooth, that was the only time she saw him busy and caught up in work. the lines of tension could be seen clearly on his forehead and he was sweating like a pig. she was helping him, arranging his work and even taking calls for him and then after twenty minutes of hard core work session "we need to leave for Washington tomorrow, the tickets are booked i am giving you a half day today go and get ready. pack your stuff we are leaving tomorrow morning."

she hurriedly ran down the stairs and drove to home. Chris came home early and said "me and the guys are going for fishing this weekend Robbie is going with me." she was not in a position to hear him out, she was packing her stuff and started arguing with him "what your also going away, i am leaving tomorrow urgently for Washington"

Chris said "what now whose going to take care for Michelle me and you are going away."

Audrey exclaimed "Chris i am going away for work and your going away for fun can't you cancel you trip?"

the boy inside Chris was dying to go on this trip "but Aud you know how long we've been planing this trip and finally we all out getting together can't you say no to your boss?"

Audrey said astonishingly "God! Chris i can't believe you, you are behaving like a kid okay if this trip is so important to you then it is your duty to get Michelle a baby sitter. get her a babysitter that you can trust then you can go and if not i am sorry you'll have to wait for the next weekend."

Chris  has mixed feelings but he was confident of himself and replied "okay i promise you i'll find Michelle a sitter." half and hour later he came up to Audrey and told her the good news "i found a sitter now you can go to your boring business trip and i can go fishing woah! this is going to be so much fun" he was jumping up and down and didn't seem a day older than Michelle herself. now everything was set for tomorrow......but in a way no one knew where were they headed....this was still a mystery
