Chapter Fourteen

jobless and hopeless Chris was out of the office, the building where he worked tirelessly to achieve all he had and now all of a sudden he had to start from the bottom.  life is unpredictable, you never know whats going to happen the next moment.  he was having a good day so far and all of sudden this one word "fire" shook up his life.  he didn't know where to go or who to call. he knew that this kind of the news wasn't being expected by his family. he didn't knew how he was going to tell this to Audrey. 

when he thought about her, he understood that he had to look straight up and remain positive. he had to find another job after all he had so much experience of work. any industry would be fortunate to hire him. he was sure of himself that he would find another job and be really good at it. but till then he had to hid the fact that he was out of a job, that he was fired on a baseless reason but had to accept it anyway. he decided to find another job as that was the only option available to him. he thought that once he finds another job he will tell Audrey everything eventually but for now he had to hide. 

he wiped the sweat off his face and went home early. the time when his kids came home. Robbie was surprised to see his Dad sitting ideal on the couch and watching baseball. for all he knew his father, he was never out of work. he was pure workaholic always working. but this was a strange sight. he asked curiously "hey dad are you okay?"

Chris said "yeah everything is okay i just took a half day. didn't felt like working today. " he didn't felt like working now Robbie was sure that something was wrong with his dad because he was a man who would never take a minute off work. something was totally wrong with him.
