Chapter Thirty Five

she was ready, packed and all set to leave. Chris and Robbie were excited for their trip and as far as Michelle was concerned she was spending the weekend at her grandparents house. everythign was set. Chris suggested "hey there is space in the care if you want i can drop you to the airport?"

she had to decline "no i am fine the office cab is coming to pick me up so you go, have fun and stay safe." he kissed her goodbye and then drove away. she kept waving him goodbye till she couldn't see him anymore. soon she was all alone standing at the gate and waiting for her cab. it had been a hour and nothing happened. she was getting annoyed and finally called in the office. no one was picking it up. it was too late to call Chris so the only option left was to call Ray. even though she hated him but she was going on a business trip with him so he was the only one she could call. 

he answered "hey what happened Audrey?"

he was being so casual and she was astonished to hear this tone of him "what happened? its been a hour and no cab came to pick me up and take me to airport how am i suppose to catch the flight? no one is picking up at the office what am i suppose to do now?"

he said again in a very casual way "don't worry, calm yourself now i am coming to get you. just be ready with your stuff."

she was relaxed for the first time to hear his voice now that he was going to pick her up. he came to her doorstep in just about five minutes of disconnecting the phone. he was that fast. she said to him "thank god you came i thought i would miss the flight."

he said "come on like i am going to let it happen. don't worry go and get your stuff ready." she was a bit shocked and then asked him "what? my stuff is already ready i think we should get going."

he said "no not this stuff, the trip is cancelled ." 

she said to him astonishingly "but then why then you came to pick me up?" she seemed confused.

he said as he waved his hand over her face "but i am going to take you to another trip don't worry babe."

she was stunned and couldn't believe his mind. he had made this whole plan and now it was all to spend the weekend with him. she was terrified moreover petrified now that she was all alone and he was in her face. there was nowhere she could go or turn to. he crossed all the limits when he held her closer to himself and whispered in her ear "it won't be troublesome if you can give me a tour of your house?"
