Chapter five

although he had proposed to her and she said yes to him but there were many situations that needed handling. they were so lost in their new love they actually forgot about the most important decision to be made. Chris had two kids Robbie and Michelle and now was the time to let them know about their relationship. it was going to be extremely tough for him since it had been years since Becky passed away and since he had never laid eyes on any girl but now he was finally in love with someone he loved and he had to explain his feelings to his son most importantly because he knew that little Michelle would definitely accept Audrey as her mother because she lost the mother when she was just few months year old. but what about Robbie? how would he react? would he accept her or not? this was going to be extremely difficult step to be taken in Chris life. 

when he came to New York along with Audrey he was hesitant but he knew he had to be straight about this. he needed to tell this to his kids and explain them his feelings. he needed to tell them how tired he had become leading a lonely life. he waited for a few days and on insistence from Audrey he gathered every singly bit of courage he had in his soul and made an effort to talk to Robbie, the impossible teenager. he went to his bed room and said "you know you have always been a rebel one, since the beginning."

Robbie was a little annoyed since he was grounded and said in a irritated tone "this is what you came to tell me at this hour Dad"

Chris said "hey listen i want to understand something here. you remember my friend Audrey who joined us for dinner last night...." he nodded in agreeable manner, Chris continued "... she has been my best friend since kinder garden and although we lost contact but when i met after all these years i was so happy and refreshed. we have been going out for all this time. i have been getting to know her but the thing is......" he paused 

Robbie said "well, you don't need my permission to date Dad. you can go out with anyone you want to "

Chris said "...no its not about dating. i proposed to her and i am going to marry her" all silence not a word uttered from Robbie's mouth. he was shut completely.
