she fell asleep while crying. he came home in the morning. he had been away and spent the night at his friend's house explaining him the reasons with meaningless logic's about hiding the fact that he lost his job and his drunk friend agreeing with him all the way.
when he came home, she was in the kitchen making breakfast. her eyes had been red from last night. the home which was always filled with noises of love and rush now had this uncomforitng silence. for the first time Chris felt awkward saying something to Audrey. the only noise that could be heard was picking and dropping of utensils. he wanted to say something but he just felt restricted. he was feeling sorry for what he did and he wanted to apologize but he just couldn't. no matter how much he tried he could utter a word out of his mouth. and when he tried she said to Robbie "your dad will drop you to school today i have a meeting today. okay bye sweetie take care." leaving him hopeless.
in the car he said to Robbie "your mom is really upset with us."
Robbie corrected him "dad let me correct you she is not upset with 'Us' she is upset with 'You' for not telling her that you lost your job and do you know how upset she was when you stormed out on her just like that. dad she was blaming herself for everything that happened. she thinks that its all because of herself, that she is not a good wife. you need to make it all right."
he said "you are right. it's not her fault. i need to apologize to her. what do you think i should do?"
Robbie suggested "take her to a fancy dinner, dad make it up to her."
he said "don't worry everything will be back on track tonight i'll make her the happiest wife and make her realize that what she does for us and especially for me make her the best of her kind."
