Robbie was shunned to know that his own father was going to marry a woman he met a few weeks ago. he was just bewildered. he said "no how can you do that? don't you have any respect for mom? she is no more that doesn't mean you should hang around with other women"
he said "i know that, you know how hard it has been for me to make this decision. all these years i have been alone raising you guys all by myself and yet i have never complained and i don't want to complain because i have been doing this out of love not my duty to raise you as my kids. the main thing that i have been along all this time and i find a partner in Audrey for long term. she is smart and beautiful and i want you to meet her....." before going out of his room, he turned back and said "...this time when you meet her , try and show some respect whens he talks with you."
the next day showed up at his house. everyone was well dressed like a Sunday morning. she walked up to his room, he sat down looking on the floor. he felt strange in making eye contact with her, maybe the reason was that if she looked in his eyes. she could see the fiery grudge of her becoming the part of the family. she said to him clear cut "listen Robbie i am not here to twist you in riddles and makes things complicated then they are. i just want to say that yes! i need your acceptance. you don't have to feel that since you are kid so you don't have your opnion. its okay i know you feel that i am going to take your mother's spot but believe i am never going to replace Becky i know what she meant to you and to your dad so i hope you accept me as a part of this family."
he said "do you like to play video games?"
she said "no but i can help you hook up with good girls in your school." that was enough for Robbie, he stood up, looked her right in her eyes and said "welcome to the family, Mom." he hugged her
