"1 minute left until the event starts! Now let's hear some lovely words of encouragement from Utahime-sensei!"

"Who let him be responsible for this job?" I asked as Satoru's voice sounded through the speakers.

"Tuna."

"What? Uh... It can't be helped if some of you get hurt... But you know... Help each other and-"

"Times up!" Satoru interrupted the female.

"Wha- Hey, Gojo!"

"And now, the sister schools tournament... START!"

"Respect you senpa-"

And the broadcast got cut off before we could hear her finish.

"This is so dumb." Nobara sighed.

"Where's the boss curse?" Yuuji asked as we were running.

Fushiguro had summoned his black shikigami dog.

"They probably released it at the middle point between both schools." I hummed.

"Yeah, but well, it's not like it's gonna stay in place." Panda added.

"Wait for the signal to split between Panda team and Fushiguro team to search the enemy." Maki explained once again.
"Counting on you, Yuuji."

"Roger~!" he saluted.

Suddenly Megumi's dog barked and up ahead a curse appeared.

A weird spider looking thing was hanging from a tree.
"Vhere vare vou voooing?"

"Small fry." Panda commented.

"Mine!" I chimed, hand reaching to my shadow as I ran to the front.

"Y/n, wait!" Megumi yelled but it was too late.

In front of me, Todou came barrelling through the trees.
With wide eyes I relied on my quick instincts and jumped of the ground, pushing myself off even more with my hand that was ghosting over the ground.

As my improvised jump had me not run into the man, didn't stop me from not falling onto him, I stretched my arms and placed them on his shoulders for only a second before I pushed myself off of him before safely landing on a branch.

Once I looked back I saw he already had his hands where I was just moments ago.
I think he would've been able to crush my skull.

"Alriiight!" he yelled, taking a quick glance at me. "Since everyone's here! Come at me, all at once!"

But before anything could occur, Yuuji was up in the air, grabbing Todou's head and ramming his knee into his nose.

"Disperse!" Maki yelled.

Everyone scattered and ran towards their designated location.
I too, jumped from the tree, trying to follow my group, but on the way to the ground I felt someone grip my ankle and hurl me back.

"Gah!" I coughed out all the air in my lungs as my back made contact with a tree.

"You're not going anywhere soon, cutie!" Todou grinned.

Shit.

"Y/n!" Nobara yelled but didn't stop her running.

"I'll catch you later!" I yelled back as I quickly stood, watching Todou give his attention to Yuuji.

"I'm gonna hit back now, first years!" He yelled, pulling back his fist.
"Guard with your life!"

And then, everything happened so quick.
