9. Cursed Marriage

"Saya! Just fucking tell me!" I yelled as I slashed through curse after curse as I kept running.

"I refuse."

"Yes, I realized!" I groaned.
"Just tell me the fucking way! I have to save Yuuji!"

"I could care less about Sukuna's vessel."

I growled as I rounded a corner, hoping I was going the right way.
"You're just fucking scared, Sayato!"
I slashed through another cursed.
"I don't know what about Sukuna you're scared of, but the fact that you're not even willing to face him is a move only cowards do!"

"I am not scared! Do not call me a coward!"

"Oh but you are! Otherwise you'd face Sukuna and tell him what's on your mind and not hide whenever he initiates a conversation!"

"So what!? He's a horrible husband so you divorced him! Doesn't mean you can ignore his existence!"

"Then prove it and show me the way! Show me you're not a coward that cowers away from a challenge!" I shouted and swung my sword at the curses left and right.

"Take a right."

"That's the spirit, Sayato!" I grinned and skidded to be able to make the turn.
"So, since you decided to help, I'll listen to your horrible marriage!"

I laughed loudly and followed the instructions she gave me.

"Take the stairs up."

I hummed and sprinted past the staircase going down.

"And it wasn't a terrible marriage."

"I thought you didn't wanna talk about it!?" I laughed as I stumbled over my feet from the sudden topic.

"You might not believe it but I do sometimes want to talk about my problems too."

"You're getting soft again, Saya-chan! How many years has it been?" I grinned and jumped, dodging a cursed spirit's attack.
"I always knew you actually loved me."

I turned left and grinned.

"Shut up and take another left. This place is making me sick, I want this to end quickly."

She huffed and I smiled with a hum.
"So, are you gonna tell me about your perfect husband and the wonderful marriage you had?"

"He wasn't perfect, by all means. It's just that I accepted and loved all of him."

"Go straight." she huffed.
"I was alive once too, you know. Rude brat."

"The bastard left me hanging. He also cheated on me but I guess I can't get mad at him on that because I did too."
