"Satoru." I called out to my teacher as he walked away after explaining to us our new mission.
He even told us about the mole in Jujutsu high and everything.
"What's up, Y/n?" he turned to look at me with his goofy smile.
"Do I have to go with them? I'm sure they can manage without me."
"Huh? Why? You don't wanna spend time with your friends?" he tilted his head in confusion.
I smiled nervously and rubbed the back of my neck.
"Ah, no... I was just hoping you'd train with me a little."
I sighed and looked at his face, not knowing where I should focus, with him covering his eyes.
"I realized I need some more training and I actually wanna try out something."
"Something?" he leaned down to my hight, probably studying my face.
"While fighting the curse that had swallowed Saya's parts, it made me want to try doing those things myself." I sighed again.
"And I'm kinda scared to try it out on my own..."
"What's that it, hm?" he tilted his head to the other side.
"Why are you beating around the bush today, Y/n?"
"I wanna try my own domain expansion, okay?" I whispered unsurely and he hummed.
He stood up straight again and started swaying from side to side. A contemplating hum leaving his throat.
"Sure! I'm supposed to supervise you after all!" he suddenly grinned and pulled out his phone, quickly dialling a number.
"Ah, Utahime? Change of plans!"
———
"Is this all you've got?" the white haired man taunted me.
"I'm trying! Okay!" I huffed.
"You're just too damn fast!"
I swung my fist at him but he dodged easily to the side, going for a kick but I managed to jump away in time.
"Well, at least you're quicker at reading your opponent." he shrugged, easily moving out of the way as I tried to kick him this time.
Come on! Saya said she never needed incantations or hand signs!
I tried imagining the same inky black snakes binding Satoru's legs to the ground, but nothing happened.
A frown etched onto my features as I took a deep breath.
Maybe that's taking it too far...
"Darkness: Bind." I whispered and Satoru stopped, looking confused at his shadow as it started quivering.
"Oh?"
I groaned and slumped my shoulders.
"Of course it's not going to work with your stupid limitless technique!"
"Didn't you have to connect your shadow to mine before?" he asked amused as the quivering stopped.
"Yeah, that shadow theory are a load of bull." I huffed.
"It just needs to be a dark mass of something, or whatever."
Satoru hummed curiously.
"So? What else did you wanna try?"
He asked as he charged at me, I quickly put my arms up and deflected his punch, swinging my own fist.
"Well, one, I can't dissipate into nothingness-"
"Maybe because the room is filled with light?" Gojo interrupted and I frowned.
"Maybe; I wouldn't even know how to do it anyway." I went to dodge his kick but he did a feint and hit me instead, sending me flying to the end of the room. I quickly jumped up, guarding for his next punch.
"Two, I can't make spikes out of thin air... Probably because the room is filled with light."
