21. Curses

"Yuu-chan!" I yelled as I jumped up into a tree.

"I know!" he shouted back, attacking Todou.

I needed him to distract the brute long enough so I'd be able to escape.
The last attempts of me trying it on my own ended with Todou hurling me back into the ground or a nearby tree.

"Give me a nickname too, Y/n-chan!" Todou yelled while dodging Yuuji's fist.

"No way in hell!" I screeched as he punched the tree I was standing on.

It started tipping and I realized he broke the fucking tree!
I jumped off and dodged his kick.

I glanced over to Yuuji, standing a few meters away from us and I decided it was now or never.

Charging up the cursed energy in my body I charged Todou and jumped.
I kicked at him and at the last moment before I hit him, I pushed all the cursed energy into my leg.

He looked at me surprised as he blocked it, skidding back a few meters.
A bright grin forming on his face shortly after.

"What power in such a small body!"

As I was falling back to the ground I turned around, seeing that Yuuji was going for Todou and before Yuuji could yell "Go!" I had already taken off.

Todou was about to go after me to stop me from leaving, but Yuuji had intercepted and Todou finally decided to put all his attention on the pink haired boy.

Fucking finally!

On my way to the general direction of where I should've gone to I encountered a low grade curse.

It noticed me too and started charging at me.

"Saya!"

The axe shot out of my shadow and I caught it as I ran.
I jumped up and swung my axe back until I felt the end of it tap my lower back.

Once the cursed spirit was right under me, I brought the blade back over my head and down with all my might, splitting the curse in half thanks to the cursed energy I was emmiting.

I landed between the two halves and huffed, pushing the hair out of my face.

I looked over at a tree and frowned.
I had felt something with a small amount of cursed energy following me and now I was curious what it was.

I made eye contact with a raven and hummed before tilting my head.
Was this what they used as surveillance?
Could someone see whatever the raven sees?

A grin spread onto my face as I waved at the bird.
"Hey, Satoru, did you see me?!"

I let the axe fall into my shadow as my smile fell as well.
"Because if you are, just know that I'm coming for your head."
I made a slicing movement with my thumb across my neck.

Somewhere else

"Haha, look at her! She even realized what was watching her!" Satoru hummed with glee.
"I'm sure curious what she's talking about!"

"I'm pretty sure she said your name, Gojo." Utahime mentioned.

"I think she was threatening you." Mei Mei commented.
