FORTY SIX

Renezmaé POV

"I know I am not what you all had in mind, and I know it's hard for some of you to respect me, to see me as a more powerful dominating force when I am half your age and a women. But my main priority here is to make this nation grow prosper and I will do it no matter what."

I look at all the Alphas in the room allowing myself to make contact with them all.

"Since there is an Elder in the room I'm sure there is to be a vote. One of o confidence so on with it." I claim dispute the shocked faces of some Alphas.

"Alphas." The elder spoke up, " please do state your reasons. They should be justifiable for something like this to occur.

"She is female." A man shouted out.

Alpha Natasha from Russia spoke up in my defense, " so am I, have a problem?" She asked , holding the only pack in the whole of Russia she was definitely not a women to mess with and I was glad she was on my side.

"She is just a kid." Someone exclaims.

"Children take over the Alpha position at 18, she is well passed that age." Another Alpha answered.

"She wasn't trained to be Queen." Alpha Ian spoke up.

"That's true, but no one was." I reply, "my father trained Lucius and then Zinan as a back up, he was going to train Axel but that didn't happen, Luca abdicated the throne and Zain is dead. I am the next in line  and I haven't even gotten a chance to prove myself before you all."

I took a deep breath, " listen, Alphas, you all know what you are doing and have been doing so for years, you all then teach your children how to take your role. But I have to learn as I go, but I am ready to learn, to admit my mistakes, and to learn from you all then one day for my own heir- teach them the way to be."  The Alphas all sat silently looking at me, even the elder shut up and allowed me to continue.

"I want to have the calmness of Alpha Xander, the sense of Family from Alpha Jace, the fight style of Alpha James, the emotional attachment of Alpha Kane, the ability to make people drop of my feet like you Alpha Natasha....even the passion of Alpha Ian. But I need time to learn."

"Alright, a vote. All in favor of Queen Renezmaé, raise your right hand."

Immediately Xander raised his hand, followed by James, Stephan , jace and a few more Alphas. My brother who was proxy for Alphas in Africa also picked up his hand. Natasha herself raised hers and a lot of Alphas followed. It was definite I was going to remain Queen. But then something in expected happened, Alpha Ian who was sitting across the room raised his hand.

"That's settle is, by majority vote, I present Queen Renezmaé Snow Dela Rosa."

Everyone claps, and everything seems fine but then I smell it. A slight change in the air, something so faint you would have missed it in the theatrics.

I glance quickly at the fireplace behind me before standing up and shouting, " everyone get out of the room now."

Just as they run behind me the fireplace exploded, pushing me off my feet and sending me flying across the wall hitting on of the artworks roughly.

I fell the ground but couldn't hear anything,  my ears were ringing, like a thousand church bells were going off. Black soot gently fell to the ground and my back felt like it was burning.

Lorenzo ran towards me, shouting something at me but I couldn't hear.

Then two arms wrapped our my legs and I was hoisted over their shoulders and moved out of the room.
