After I changed from the towel into a set of pjs , I joined Bloom on the balcony. He wore a grey track pants that hung loosely on his hip..just one tug and...no
I need to get my mind out of the gutter."Alcohol?" I asked referring to the glass in his hand.
He shook his head, and placed the cup at my lips , tipping the glass slightly to allow the clear liquid to enter.
"Mm, Apple Juice."
He didn't even reply as he brought the glass back to his lips and downed the rest of the glass.
"I'm going back." I stated leaning over the balcony and looking out at Spain.
Getting my last look at something other then the palace gardens.I could feel his eyes burning into my back, but he said nothing. I took that as indication to carry on.
"I had my fair share of fun. It's time for me to go back. I can't keep running forever." I took a deep breath in, " I know I promised you that I would help you find your mate." With that I turned around to face him.
But I was not ready for his stormy black eyes staring back at me instead of the green shade I'm used to.
"You will find her, yourself."
"She doesn't exist."
"And I promise-" my sentence got lost as I actually took in his words.
She doesn't exist..
I don't exist?"What?!"
"A witch told me she doesn't exist." He looked down at the glass in his hand before throwing it roughly into the floor, I jump, even though the glass shards spread quite far from me.
"My parents were not mates, they were lovers, fell in love naturally."
My heart swelled, fell in love naturally, something more beautiful.
"As Wolf law, you can't have a child of someone who isn't your mate, so, a witch helped my parents, she did something, and few months later I was born, followed by my sisters."
My dad must have done the same.
"The witch did her witchy woo to both my sisters and saw them with their future mates, but when she did it for me, it was nothing , blank. No mate."
He looked down before looking back at me, " apparently there a need to be a balance of magic, me not having a mate is that balance."I badly wanted to take his face in my hands and prove him wrong and just tell him that it is all a lie....but is it my job to build his hope, show him what we could have...only for my dad, the king of fricken Werewolves, to tear us apart.
So I didn't.
"We more common then you would think." I pushed myself onto the wall, sitting on it and letting my legs dangle over.
"My dad did the same witchy woo," I smiled as soon as the words left my mouth, " my dad had two sons, one of them already found their mate the other didn't."
"Well he must be just as cursed as me."
"Don't look at it as a curse Bloom, look at it as a chance, now you can meet someone fall in love. And be with them for something more then a mate bond."
"I already found my love, Rojo...and she is mates to someone else, if I don't find my mate, I don't think I can love someone just as much."
