My breathing was a little shallow, and even my sight wasn't fully back yet. There were still black dots creeping in and out of my vision as I pushed forward running through the woods at normal human speed.

Snow was still trying to heal me internally, and being this far from my mate was not really helping the entire healing process.

I wasn't exactly sure where I currently am, in the middle of the night at the park where I was taking refuge I started to heal howls, then smell the horrid stench on rouges. So I ran.

I could be on packlands now, I could be heading for the middle of no where. All I really needed was sleep. A lot of it.

My mind was starting to hurt, I had to keep up blockages from Alec and my siblings.

After what Lorenzo told me I was not too sure who to trust anymore. My heart was screaming for me to no listen to Lorenzo, I mean who is he really? A man, who apparently was grown up by my mother through jail cell doors...but do I really believe that story? Is there anyone who can rectify it?

Or should I just trust my mate, the one man I know will love me unconditionally.

My heart yearns for the latter but my brain points out the issues- mates are not everything. Look at Xander and his true mate, Violet and Ian...hell even Becca still had eyes for Alec while still would her new mate.

It made me sick to my stomach, that after all this time there is still apart of me that does not trust him.

Finally I broke the clear through the trees, sucking my scent in and hiding just on the outskirts of what seemed to be pack territory.

I had to be careful, even though my scent was hidden I still smelled of blood.

There were some guards laughing and chilling in the distance- which was a good sign, if this pack was run by an dictator alpha they would be to scared of him to slack off.

I quickly search the trees close by as it's common practice for wolves to hide clothes here and there for when they finished their runs- and my was I right.

I pulled out a huge jacket and track set and slipped it on, using my old clothes to tighten my bleeding abdomen.

I walked a little further away from the guards before whispering to my wolf, " Snow, how's it going?"

"Almost healed Reneé,"

"Could you hold off for a while, I need you to run through to the pack."

"Your running towards a pack!" She shouted in my mind, her voice resounding like echos through my brain.

"I need a phone, phones are in town come on."

I closed my eyes and allowed snow forward, she took control of my body and tucked into her royal side before propelling me forwards towards the pack, as soon as I past boundary line I felt it. The connection I have as a Queen to the packs.

This pack was one under my reign, immediately I felt a bit safer. A little bit stronger. still i had to keep my scent hidden, I might not know exactly which or whose territory i am from, but from the green grass yet cold air, it was probably a border pack.

I snatch some clothes from a random ladies line, just a coat and a scarf, wrapping both around my body i made my way into the town. I had to change, the blood on my own clothes will attract to much attention.

I made my way into town, grateful that the there was a mix of humans and wolves milling around so my lack of a scent wouldn't drag on too much attention.

I immediately enter a cafe store and walked up to the women behind the counter.

Human.

"Hi, I need to make a phone call." I claim.
